How'd you figure? We beat the huns 7 times in a row under MON when they had McLeish, scoring 11 and conceding 2. We won the league by a long way a few times, the only times McLeish won the league was on the last day, on goal difference and then by a point.

    Theyre a bit different though.

Id say O'Neill favoured high work-rate players with ability on the ball but with only tall solid defenders who were great in the air for set-peices and speedy wingers to get the ball in.

Smith favoured tall, strong, defensive minded players all over the pitch with no wingers and a tall striker paired with a speedy striker.

O'Neill liked players like Mjallby, Petrov, Downing, Thompson, Milner, Sutton, Hartson, skilled players with high work-rate who were solid.

Smith liked players like Davie Weir, Richard Gough, Carlos Cuellar, Duncan Ferguson, Lee McCulloch, Mark Hateley, Ian Ferguson, Kyle Lafferty, big players with little skill, who were dirty and would do whatever means(diving, kicking players) to get the job done.

A 2005 MON team VS any walter smith team would result in the most boring games of all time
