How worried are you that we'll lose our big guns in the summer?

SOOO worried about it, but we I think we should do is drill it into them that next year we CAN make a massive impact in the Champions League, and for that alone staying will be more than worth it. It will allow them to grow and develop even further, and create some more great memories.

 

Why don't we set out a huge statement if we win the league? Let the fans set out banners telling the board and their players that they as fans mean the most and they want the players to stay? It will put the board under ammence pressure and it will give the players an even bigger confidence boost. A players dream is to be loved by their fans and we can do that with our players in order to keep them. Think about Henrik Larsson who could of easily said he wanted to leave and go to a bigger club which he could of but he never, Celtic was where his heart was. We can do the same with these players, make their heart feel warm whenever theyre playing for the hoops. That way we will have these players for a much longer time. If we sit on this paranoid whether we will sell these players or not is not going to help. Let ourselves be heard.

 

we need the players to buy into the ethos and culture of celtic fc.....in the way henrik did.....if they do that they wont want to go anywhere......i'd reckon a few of our bhoys havent experienced a crowd like todays....we were immense.

 

It is a risk you run when you put together a quality side, especially when you are in the SPL. However you need to understand that Lenny does seem to have something about him that might make a player who is in two minds about leaving want to stay. It looks like our players love being here, that was evident with Crosas' farewell.

I think we may loose a couple but I doubt the spine of our team will go, also Lenny has shown that he can handle himself pretty well in the transfer market. He has built a quality side from relatively little money. Nothing saying he cant do that again.. I just hope he doesn't need to!

 

Don't fret about it we're in a real good position and don't need to sell I think most of the squad will want a crack at the Champions League er with us!!

 

Players agents give me the creeps...... Equally we need to be aware that vacancies arise for 'Managers' in the EPL, and we have some guys..........

 

im thinking champions league will keep the bhoys where they are.seriously dont think the lure of the premiership is what it used to be.the love of celtic will prevail.:icon_mrgreen:

 

If we're playing CL football next season i dont see why any of the named would even consider leaving... You just had to witness the receptions the likes of kayal and hooper etc got today, that along with european football should be a no brainer?!!

 

1st thing Lawell wants to do is tie them( Kayal , Hooper & Izzy) down a little longer and give them a pay rise. We can't knock back a £4m/£5m bid for Izzy and we only pay him £8,000 a week.

Then get Sammy to sign a deal cos If we make CL next year will need 3 good strikers to cope with demand of games.

Then offer Brown an extended deal , finally we have found a position that suits everyone and Brown has been a revelation in the right side of midfield.
