None of the blame on the scouting team, players or management?

I didn't realize Lawwell was on £900 pa., is that really true, if it is there is the root of the problem.

I have seen this syndrome in utility companies when the CEO gets a massive salary increase, he then spends the rest of his energy trying to justify it & is terrified of losing his (or her) new life style. Result is an inefficient mess with new idea following new idea, & a loss of focus on what really matters to customers, & also the company.

Lawwell will only be thinking about how to preserve his luxurious lifestyle and protect himself from flak. He will hardly be thinking about Celtic.

I am more depressed than ever.

Lawwell is not in the slightest bit concerned about his position, he is untouchable. His salary is the least of our problems.

His salary is comparable to CEO's around England even though he tells us we cant compete with England? Paradox?

He is the root of all our problems IMO.

ir can all be linked back to the board but Im not sure I blame them directly for our current problems, ronny has been given a reasonable ammount of money to spend on players and has underachieved with his spending levels,so I blame whoever is identifying the players we sign and the manager before the board. However it is their scouting system and their manager so it is their job to fix them when their broken.

I don't think throwing more money at it is the solution, although we have made a few fantastic signings our average is very poor

Lawwell is paid fairly for what he does. Take the football side away from things and look at us from a strictly business point of view. What he has done to balance the books over the last 13 years has been nothing short of incredible. You make tough choices in business to save money and obviously from a football point of view that has affected the team, the fans and numbers through the gates. When you look at us now, after all the years of not splashing out and thinking of our debt, thinking of how our revenue is falling and how we lost the * across the road you do wonder if a major sighing every year would destroy us the way he thinks. I'm a massive Lawwell fan but he's now taking things to the extreme. We have zero debt and our loyal fans haven't been appeased with signings since we signed Robbie Keane on loan. Time for the board to step up and deliver

First and foremost we are a football club. The business side of things should come second to the kicking the baw side of things.

That's exactly what happened across the road mate. Football is as much a business now as a bank is.

Agree with most of this but the days of splashing out on signings like Robbie Keane are gone. Firstly it's difficult to get big name players to come to Scotland and secondly the wages these players would look for are way out of our league. It's frustrating but I honestly think the board are doing everything they can to back the manager. Whether its the right manager is another question.

What happened across the road, was a unlimited money line from the bank to buy players they couldnt afford.

Nobodys asking for that, were asking for a decent strategy to sign players we CAN afford and WILL improve us. Right now none of this is happening. The board might be good at what they do on the business side of things, but they are not good at running a football club with the demands of ours. We're being taken for mugs.

I'm no fan of the board but it's a bit pointless crying about them they only take orders from the top a new board won't change anything if you wanted real change we'd need to change the ownership structure of the club

I'm sick of this pish about Oldco, we are not asking to spend like them and borrow till we die. Facts are our current model is clearly making it worse and costing us. We need to reinvest properly and the way we are doing it now buying 20 players at 1-2 million and given them 10-15k a week is clearly * us over.

    We need quality over quantity.

    Yup!

If he was to one year net spend 15 million before the qualifiers, and we didnt make it. He wouldnt get his bonus.
So why bother spending money till he is sure of his own payment.
