So you pronounce Adidas like Ad-aye-das?

Nike rhymes with bike, and A-dee-das.

Nike's chairman Philip Knight confirmed it's Ni-key long ago, anything else is incorrect.

Adidas is simply a contraction of Adi (Adolf) Dassler, so again it's obvious. Adi-das. Frown upon the 'ahhh dee daas' plebs.

Already knew both of the above and still doesn't change the way I pronounce them.

Adi is the diminutive form of the name, parents with kids called Adolf don't go around calling them Adeee. Of course, there aren't many kids called Adolf these days, one of those names that fell out of favour for some reason or another.

Can't imagine someone saying Nike as in like, never heard it in all my years living in Australia and NZ. Think it must be specific to the UK.

The CORRECT pronunciations are, "Ah-dee-das" and "nigh-kee" if you go by the actual companies themselves.

    This.

Would have put the latter as Mike with an N but still the same, I think.
