First half we were pathetic, couldn't string 3 passes together but when Hooper came up with the goal we picked ourselves up and Lenny was spot on with his team today.

I have always liked Stokes and hopefully he can come good for us in the weeks and moths ahead

Excellent result and 2 cracking goals, excellent composure from Hooper and just a fantastic effort from Stokes for his second. i * despise Craig Burley but i thought he was spot on when he was saying its better to have the points on the board than the games in hand!

Forster - 7 - Quiet and made a good save at the end to tip it onto the bar.

    Wilson - 7 - Decent enough game.

Majstorovic - 7 - Didnt think he or Rogne were under any considerable pressure today, decent enough.

Rogne - 7 - Same as Majstorovic, made a good few interceptions tho.

Izaguirre - 9 - Outstanding yet again, what a player he is, never gives up running and never lets pressure get to him when defending, if it wasnt for Kayal he would have been my MOTM.

Forrest - 6 - Quite game for his standards.

Kayal - 10 - Incredible. he just keeps getting better and better, not scared to put the foot in, can pass, tracks back, breaks up attacks with very little effort, MOTM

Brown - 7 - again, decent enough game.

McCourt - 5 - Very quiet, one good effort which produced a good save from Brown.

Stokes - 8 - i was pretty sceptical about playing him in a lone striker role again but was happy to see him along side Hooper again and he was great. never stopped running and got into good positions, incredible second goal as well, shame he never got his Hattrick.

Hooper - 7 - Great composure for his goal, looked tired as the match went on but thats to be expected as hes just back from injury, delighted to have him back.

3pts is what was required and we got it after a poor 1st half. Top 3 players kayal, maj and izzy.

Hopefuuly build on this and get a nice wee run going.

Stokes goal was good but I think Hoopers goal today stole it for me, one of the best goals I've seen a Celtic player score in a good while.

aye hooper's goal was special, sublime 2 touches before the finish... but stokesy's was class.

if they 2 were up for goal of the season most people would vote stokes' goal

I'd vote Hoopers mate, the touch and execution was sublime, it just oozed pure and utter class, Stokes goal was nice, although Hoopers goal reminded me of this.

Hoopers goal bit of similarity about it

quality game, when mulgrew was warming up the first time an irish guy shouted 'hey charlieeeeeeee!' it continued the whole game with about 20 of us doing it :56:

somebody said 'you should have killed that big skinny * lafferty charlie' and he waved :56:

top lad albeit not a great player, wears his heart on his sleeve though

anybody got pictures of behind the goal 2nd half to i see if im there which i'd imagine i would be :celt_2:

+1, i think paddy is a good player, with massive skills, but imo he is heavily overrated. i think he will get more bench-time when freddie is fit for starting.

Great to see Hooperman back. Real confidence boost, and of course he brings a lot to the team.
The 2 up front look a great partnership, the 2 goals, particularly the 2nd, from Stokes will do his confidence wonders. Cracking result, 2nd half team looked different to the first half, which was sloppy.
And I can't believe this Hibs team managed to pump the huns at Ipox!

Delighted with the win today. Despite Hibs poor run of form, we always seem to struggle at Easter Road. 3-0 and easily could have had more. :icon_mrgreen: Think Hooper being back, lifted everyone, especially Stokesy. (Peach of a 2nd by the way) Just watched Hooper's goal back and that is some goal too, great composure and finish. Actually love that guy! Brilliant to keep a clean sheet too.

I agree with the recent posts about Paddy though, think he's looked quite tired in the last two games and not really forced himself into the game like usual. Think Ljungberg will get a start in Paddy's place soon enough.

    Another MOTM performance from Kayal.

Still not convinced that Brown is a good partner for him, but it seemed to work OK today in a 4-man midfield.

Stokes and Hooper seem very good together - good understanding developing there, and two cracking goals.
I think Sammy is our best for a lone striker, but the partnership we saw today is very encouraging.
the main positive to come out of this is that there was multiple candidates for man of the match. anyone from izzaguirre, kayal, stokes and at a push hooper could have been given it. slowly but surely were starting to look like a team and yes there will be blips along the way but well just have to pick ourself up again just like we did today.

on another note there is now no doubt in my mind that big dan should be our captain. notice the way that when stokes scored he went and had a word with him. and when the man of the match in my opinion, kayal, got subbed off he went and told him how well he had played. i also thought defensively he was nothing short of brilliant today.

    the futures bright :shamrock::shamrock:
Not taking way from anyone else's performance but I have to agree Dan was superb in many ways today, he has really grown into a solid CB.However what ever happened to his heading ability ? When we were making a move for him I remember watching the youtube video of him, and the no. of goals he rattled in with the head was most impressive, He has hardly had one on target for us and has had many chances.Nevertheless a great performance from him today, and I agree with the captaincy suggestion.

Good second half and good result some good performances but I thought Forrest was very poor again I know has young but we can't afford passengers in the team the last few games he's been non existent .
