if they come in with a bid
i would accept it
hasn't been on his game this season
hasn't adapted to mowbray's style of football
nor have any of our central defence to be honest -
who cares if the bid or not just give him a free and get that fud off our books

If they come in with a good offer in january then i think the club will accept it,his time is up at the club.

caldwells a liability at theback! no pace, slow in the tackle,cant read a game, poor at defending set pieces, need i go on? Id rather have a traffic cone in defence at least we would get some consistency. Release the dog he hs no passion for the hoops!

He hasn't the intellegence to be a good footballer, he's a * fud & I can't stand him.
I honestly hate the *, he talks pure * & is a * bombscare!
Sorry, but this * is standing his ground demanding Celtic pay him over 1million pounds a year....ONE MILLION POUNDS EVERY YEAR.
He probably wants a 4 year contract too....* off ya rocket! -

Wish him all the best if he goes.
His problem was he thinks he is a footballer, just defend first and give it to someone who won't just smack it up the park.
Did a job for us, and if we make a profit thats even better.
I always liked the fact he never shirked responsibility and didn't hide, even when he had poor games. -

How Caldwell was wearing the armband on Sunday is a joke. He has had a terrible season and yet has seen fit to bleat on in public about what he thinks he deserves in a new contract. That is not the behaviour of someone who should be captain of Celtic.
He feels he can easily get more money in his next contract and what Celtic have offered does not match what he thinks he can get elsewhere and he may well be correct. But how he has handled the whole situation especially considering his poor form is unwise to say the least.
For me he was for an 18 month or so spell our best center back. But for the last half of last season and this season so far he has been very poor. Even when he was playing well he was only the best of a very medicore crop of Celtic center backs.
As such I would sell Caldwell to Newcastle in January and get whatever we can get for him. We have O'Dea coming back from on loan who is at least as good as Caldwell so sell Caldwell in January for me to Newcastle. -

Its sound scarey when you say 1 million a year. i cant believe very average players get that kind of money a year when we need to work 50 year for that -
