Scott Brown may not have the highest ability in the team but he brings something to the team that somehow helps us massively win games so no complaints from me. We shouldn't be criticising players at this very late and important stage of the season. We have to get behind them and support every one of them like they're the best players on the park in order to win the league this season.

    Broony!
Was never a fan but the stats don't lie. We win far more games with Broony in the team. So he must give us something! Also, I'm not a fan of Ki, so Brown stays IMO.

Put it this way when we go to Ibrox on Easter Sunday Broony is the first name on the team-sheet for that game.

See the last game at Ibrox.

As a Brown fan I watch him closely and I think he has improved masively playing on the right, I think in the middle he at times lost discipline and was caught to high up the park and out of position, but on the right he keeps the shape alot better, he can come in narrow and give us 3 in the middle if need be and with Wilson we don't loose the shape as he runs up and down the whole day. I think Brown's passing has also improved, on occassions against hibs he had the confidence to play long switching passes and they reached there target, which i think last year he wouldn't have had the confidence or the ability to pass like that

It frustrates me at how little pro players actually ever improve, or not.

Has Sammy improved? He seems unable to learn to release the easy ball - surely the coaches try to get him to look up & pass instead of running into cul-de-sacs.

Very few pro players ever seem to improve, they just remain doing the same *.

Mark Wilson has improved this season though.

Whenever I see Brown out right I am naturally irked by the lack of similarity between him and our old Right wingers like Maloney, McGeady (when he played there and not left), and Naka. Especially with Paddy or Ljungberg on the bench (two more traditional wingers). However, Brown has done a great job and so long as we're winning and he's playing well I won't complain.

However, I want to see how we do in Europe with our currently slightly unorthodox midfield setup.

I think Brown has improved this season.

He has never been the most skillful lad on the pitch but he has always wanted to win the most.

Lenny has turned him into a great captain and leader. If you look at last season, the team seemed not up to it. They gave up way to early and never seemed to have that drive.

In brown, I think Lenny has found someone similar to himself. He never gives up and always has that drive.

Also, Brown and Wilson have linked up really well recently. Think, whens the last time a team have ran Celtics right side ragged. For me there hasn't really been one.

Someone said earlier this season that leaders are hard to come by nowadays and I have to agree. Brown both in flesh and in statistics has become a great leader also a solid midfield is essential in Europe and Brown, for me, is solid.

Apart from that one, how many really great games has he had against Rangers, not many that I recall, certainly not enough to say he's first on the team sheet against them.

I'm always worried what version of Brown is going to come out in old firms games, if he's going to get his head down and work hard for the team or get over enthusiastic and lose his composure.

Its hard to believe that some people still havent warmed to Broonie. I still think that people havent got over the "die hard hun" label that was given to him. I wonder if he was from Coatbridge or Cork would fans give him an easier time?

a leopard dose not change his spots mate, walf some money over Browns nose and he will kiss any badge, and he will still be a son of William.
anyhow he is under performing, and is now in the head lamp.
if he don't pick up the pace, he will not be there. could buy a lot better and we all know it, don't want Brown to be the club mascot
only on the grounds of his wit, rather it was for his play he has been here 4-5 years and i am suffering big time watching him play

He scored the equalizer against Rangers at Ibrox that kept us in the Scottish Cup and on course for the Treble (at the time). That should be good enough for everyone :50:

Samaras scored against them twice at new year, should that be good enough for everyone too? He's already being branded a donkey again.

One goal in one game isn't really going to change overall opinions, even if it was against Rangers.

Ive read all the comments on this thread and most of the people who support Brown have commented on his lack of ability to pass, shoot score goals etc but admire his commitment, leadership et al.Well ther are thousands of hoops fans, given the chance would show the same if not more commitment if they were on the park. This guy cost our club nearly 5 million quid and although I am not going to slag him off Imo hes nowhere near worth that amount and for the length of time hes been here I reckon hes had no more than maybe a dozen really good games, and thats me being generous.Having said that,he has grown into the captaincy and I know hes a joker in the dresssing room and he will be Lennys first name on the team sheet so we have to respect his judgement. The question was"has he improved".IMO yes slightly, but not enough for me and Ithink that what you see now is the best that you will see from Brown. He cant get any better.
