obviously being an aussie id love it for him to come to us as there would be heaps of publicity and merchandise to buy...
But sadly i think he has passed it and it would cost way to much money for him to sit on the bench.

 

That's Kewell released and Riise and Crouch have been transfer listed.

Don't see us signing any of them though.

 

I would have riise, think he would be solid at the back and him and mcgeady would link up well

Yeh i know, plus he can play left mid, so if mcgeady is injured or playing on the right, he can fill in, cracking left foot shot too

 

Don't think we could afford Riise, but would happily take him. Would sign Kewell on a pay as you play deal - nothing else. Evidently he cost Liverpool 150k a game.

 

Riise is class. Not too hot in the right mid though. Solid left back and a fair enough passer.

How much is he on?

 

According to his cheque that got sent to the wrong address Riise is on £30,000 a week.

Once we get rid of Bobo, Graveson, Killen and a few others, we can pay him that much

 

Even though he's listed, he's not going to be that cheap. Surplus to requirements does not always mean dud, a la Ronaldinho.

 

kewell was offered a new contract by liverpool but for less money and said no, that sums up what a * he is, signing him would be a disaster

Riise has been linked with Valencia all season. Having said that, they're on the verge of relegation, so we might be in with a shout. More likely to end up in Italy, mid-table, or at Aston Villa

says in a couple of newspapers that celtic have swooped for him and gotten him on a free BUT he will become the highest paid player at the club with £40 grand a week going his way!!

he was superb at Leeds and would have merited the wages back then but he was a shadow of himself at liverpool and I reckon were just paying for the name not the footballer ie"tommy gravesen"

On the other hand this could be what sets his career up again, what do you think???
