Get the impression a lot of people genuinely would want to see Guidetti * up just so they can say GIRUY to fellow Celtic fans.. * sad.

I hope whoever starts has the game of their life.

I think the stage of saying "GIRUY" to those that like to educate others has well and truly passed.

    It's been 2 (3?) months.

Id actually be inclined to play Stokes up top with Johansen, Gary and Samaras behind him

'Like to educate others' - you mean those that like to explain their footballing reasons for wanting Guidetti to play? It's called sharing an opinion.

No, ones that tell people to "get things into their heads" and that they hope a professional football manager, managing Celtic, "knows this too" after stating something.

:smiley-laughing002: I have genuinely seen this more from people arguing Griffiths should start.

The majority of posts I've seen from people arguing Guidetti should start have stated their reasons why and have also said they could see the reasoning behind Griffiths starting and wouldn't be disappointed.

I seen a post in the St.Johnstone thread when Griffiths scored saying 'Get it up ye Guidetti lovers'. Pathetic that people care more about winning an argument than their team scoring.

Admittedly I am one of those who has been a Guidetti fanboy and I would still start him against Inter tomorrow, but that interview is garbage on his part and I'm starting to think he might not be in our best interests. The ball is in his court though and he would do well to focus on playing for Celtic as others have stated. If Griffiths starts tomorrow I won't be at all disappointed and I hope he does the job if that's the case.

    Yup.

It's actually sad that there are * on here who will be willing Guidetti to have a bad game if he starts over Griffiths, just so they can have a 'one up' on the 'Guidetti fan boys'.

I want Guidetti to start, but if Griffiths starts I'll be delighted for him and I'd have faith he can do the job.

    Celtic first.

Maybe it's because Griffiths is constantly rubbished in an attempt to make Guidetti look the better player.

Guidetti is only on here in loan, and by the looks of it, doesn't want to stay here. Griffiths is our player, so it's pretty sad people blatantly lying to save their own face by claiming they believe Guidetti is the better player.

What was it Guidetti has over Griffiths again? The ability to make the ball 'stick'?

Get it up you's indeed when Griffiths scores. He's banging them in whilst you all fall over each other to make excuses about a Manchester City player on loan and belittle a Celtic player.

    1. I've never seen Griffiths 'rubbished' on here recently.
    2. Guidetti is here on loan. So what? So is Denayer. He doesn't want to stay here either. Play Efe I say!
    3. Can't say I was here when the word 'stick' was used, but that clearly means close control which is a very valuable asset for a player. Guidetti had better control over the ball than Griffiths, that is obvious.
    4. Get it up me of Griffiths scores? If Griffiths scores I'll be * hopping all over the place at Parkhead hugging the nearest randomer.
    5. Both Griffiths and Guidetti are currently Celtic players.

    You're a * moron.

Denayer is playing well. Guidetti isn't and doesn't appear to be doing anything to rectify that.

Lol, Guidetti has better close control over Griffiths? (again, please do not try and educate me on football, Jose.)

So Denayer is playing well and therefore the fact he is on loan is irrelevant? But I thought it was super important for a player to be 'ours' ?

The irony of you calling me 'Jose' while you were on here not too long ago bragging about being on the verge of getting a job selling pies at St Mirren :smiley-laughing002:

The fact that you think Griffiths has better ball control than Guidetti just helps my argument.

Nobody is rubbishing Griffiths? I think believing Guidetti's a better player (when on form) is a pretty acceptable opinion, given Guidetti's performances earlier in the season. Nobody has tried to argue that Griffiths is currently in the better form, merely that they think Guidetti will be more suitable for the game against Inter.

I don't give a * if Guidetti is on loan. Who is trying to save their own face, and why? :smiley-laughing002:

Claiming all Guidetti has over Griffiths is the ability to make it 'stick' is trivialising it. I think he is far superior at holding the ball up, drawing fouls, getting his team mates involved. I also think that he is naturally a superior footballer to Griffiths (admittedly hasn't showed that lately) but some of the things he is capable of doing with the ball are quality.

Some have argued that Inter's weakness is the lack of pace in their defence and that Griffiths should be played to expose it, and others have argued he should play because he's in the better form, - can't argue with either tbh, they both make sense and I won't argue too much if he starts.

My main worry is that Inter will have a lot more of the ball than us, we will attempt to use Griffiths as an outlet and he'll struggle to hold it up and get others involved, it happened a few times against St.Johnstone when we tried to break and their defence isn't on the same level as Inter's.

Also who is belittling Griffiths? If anything Guidetti is the one being belittled.
