    They are unlikely to contribute new findings on climate change, admittedly, but I would argue that they have a much more important role in all of this.

    We all know that the world is *, and we all know how to fix it. We now, urgently, need to force the élite to act on what we all know, and the only way they will do that is if they fear the wrath of ordinary people more than they covet wealth.

    Millions of angry children and teenagers making their lives uncomfortable is a good start.

    Some of the stats are harrowing to say the least,its not a matter of if but when the * hits the fan.

    The changes that need to be made now are just limiting the damage already done.

    Trying to limit the global average temerature increase to 2 degrees in the next 80 years,if nothing changes it will be 4 degrees.

    Stop consuming resources faster than we can generate them, and stop polluting the air, land and sea, as far as possible. That would be a start.

    Mature alternative technologies already exist.
