He'll know of Tierney's injury struggles, he could easily play 15/20 games next season given the volume that we play.

Add that to trebling/quadrupling his wages, winning trophies, playing in Europe, playing with better players in training....can't see him turning down that opportunity.

Pretty sure he is a hun though...

I suspect he’ll get more games than people think. KT needs proper time to recover and can’t go playing as many games.

Great wee player I’d take him, happy as back up.

It isn’t just about getting games though. Players are, by and large, egotistical. Nobody wants to be a second choice player or now that if we are playing a big game in Europe they are relying on somebody’s lack of fitness. That’s why it is so hard to find a back-up. Hopefully the wages and potential medals tempt him as he is exactly what is needed.

Players with the right mentality will understand it. There's no guarantees of a start at Celtic for anyone, it's a meritocracy.

Christie was signed at a similar age and has only just broke into the first team in the last 8 months. He didn't spit the dummy, went out on loan to Aberdeen, continued to develop and is now being rewarded for it. Long contract, international caps and a very important player for us.

True enough and maybe he thinks he can take the spot of KT, I would like to think he has that belief.

I still think we need better than Christie as first-choice for us, but that’s another matter and his attitude has been first-class.

Personally I think Christie will be a huge player for us over the next few years. His involvement from November onwards seemed to boost us so much. Semi Final goals, winning Cup Final goal, set up the winner against Leipzig that seen us qualify in Europa. The boy is a player and his attitude is absolutely first-class. We need grafters, guys that aren't afraid to mix it and he certainly fits that bill.

We are taking this off-topic now, but while he agree about his attitude and he had a wonderful run of form, I still think he is a bit shy of the quality needed in Europe. Great back-up though.

    I'd rather Mohammadi or Perraud.

If he's available for 500k, snap him up!

Liked the look of Perraud from Paris FC, would be pleased with either

Is that Perraud not available on a free aswell? Lennon personally scouted him maybe doesn’t rate him.

With all due respect to him, he plays for Kilmarnock, and the other clubs after his signature are no marks, as well.

He would certainly have opportunities to play, here. If he would rather star for Hull City, good riddance.

Both are. I asked some friends in Paris about Perraud; they rate him highly.

If a player has the option to play for Celtic or Hull City, and opts for Hull City, he lacks the mental attributes required to be a Celtic player.

Robertson had no choice; Taylor might.

(I would add that Taylor has a much lower ceiling than Robertson, and question how viable Robertson's path to a big club is for him. For every Robertson, there are a dozen promising young players who leave Scotland for England and disappear into the aether.)

He is a good player, would 100% take him but, if he wants first team football then He is not gonna come to Celtic to sit on the bench.

He will end up down south.

He is actually younger than Tierney. For the player he is now, no, but he actually has potential to develop
