Like some people have said "Give him a break" He was young and now just wants to make his way in football. If he grows and matures to become a good player for us and score a lot of goals Im willing to let bygones be bygones.

Young enough to not be set in his ways yet. He'll have been brought up a hun kid, but he'll grow up to be a Celtic Man. Good luck to him. Don't forget the list of players we've had in the past who started off huns and became legends at the club.

new bhoy joins the youth ranks

    Gregor Kyle
THE Under-19s have added a new Bhoy to the ranks, with the acquisition of highly-rated Alloa Athletic striker, Greig Spence.

The centre-forward, who turned 17 last month, officially joined Celtic today (August 14) and will meet up with his new team-mates on their return to training after a pre-season tournament in Villarreal.

“We are delighted to get Greig for the club. He has good potential. He has made eight first team starts for Alloa and has scored six goals,” said Celtic’s Head of Youth, Chris McCart. "He is a player for the future, one who will be developed at U19 level and will be taken on.

“Greig is a player with a good goalscoring record, who leads the line well. Even when he has had difficult games in the past he has contributed with goals and with chances and that’s usually a good sign from a number nine - that when they are not playing well they still score.”

The 17-year-old is in the Alloa record books as the Stirlingshire club’s youngest player and youngest goalscorer and has coped well with the physical demands of life in the lower divisions.

“He has played against Marvin Andrews and we also watched him against Airdrie,” continued McCart. “Our scout, Tom O’Neill and U19 manager, Tommy McIntyre, have been out to see him as well.

“We have done a bit of research last season and this year and it’s a deal we are delighted to have done.

“I can’t thank Mike Mulraney, the Alloa owner and their manager, Allan Maitland, enough for the way they have conducted their business. They were very professional and we were delighted to do business with them.”

Spence is the latest acquisition at Academy level, with the club strengthening during the summer and making a number of youth signings.

“We have brought in a couple of Under-17s and are adding quality to it,” said McCart. “In Belgium and Villarreal they have showed that they are a decent squad, but we are still looking for quality to add to it.”

Spence’s signing is another positive note for the U19s, who reached the finals of the Villarreal competition after wins over AC Milan, Japan and Real Madrid and the semi-finals of the Eurofoot competition in Belgium.

McCart commented: “It’s been a decent start, although the Youth League will be a completely different prospect and teams will be out to beat us by whatever means necessary. But Greig is a good acquisition for us and one we are excited about.”

I doubt a real bigoted Hun would ever go play here. He may be a fan of Rangers, and being among the shower of * that a lot of them are, he gets a bit of habits they have. Still, I don't think he's a problem, as long as he's brought up here. I can bet Kenny Miller isn't a hateful and bigoted person. Such person would not ever play for us.

Get a grip. SO what he supports Rangers. He mite even still want to play for them. The only way that will happen though is by being outstanding for Celtic, so hopefully he will be.

Do you think that the Celtic players throughout the past that supported rangers but played for us never sang a sectarian song?? Grow up. The song is about people that you will never have a chance of meeting on your life so how can you be so offended?

Its the man that he turns into that counts not the child that he was.
He is a Celtic player now, If he was that much of a bigot he wouldn't have signed for us.

Ohh so that is the way it should be looked apon? So it doesn't matter that many of Celtic fans last generation was terrorrised & lived in fear everyday and were basically stripped of there rights and it's ok to sing songs of hatred about them?

Go take a long walk of a short pier.

Everything he said on the website no matter his age & his previous username shows what he thinks of us. All of a sudden it's ok that he wants to be up to his knees in our blood and that we should all go home because the famine is over just because he now plays for Celtic?

He also has the cheek to ask for his sectarian bile to be deleted so there is no proof he done it.
