Born and bred in Glasgow sir! Past 18 months living in the sticks mind you.

Funnily enough I used to live in a tap dancer in glasgow, never heard it called that though. Funny how you still learn new words.

Ach I was only joking anyway mate. :icon_mrgreen:

Aye everywhere has there own little colloquialisms I suppose, even in certain areas in Glasgow.

I heard new phrases when I started running about Ruchill that I had never heard growing up in Drumchapel. They are about 20 minutes apart!

    Awk a ken like!

Me mam is from Royston my dad from fernhill/spittal. I'm brought up rutherglen. Even hear difference in the way the parents would talk about stuff as well. Nuts how weird and wonderful the words/language is.

I lived in Fernhill for 2 years. Ryan Way.

I lived in Rutherglen too. My Gran lived in behind the Kings Park Hotel, stayed there for a while too.

I'm a bit of a nomad when it comes to Glasgow, I've stayed in Drumchapel, Anniesland, Ruchill, Possil, West End, Rutherglen, Castlemilk, Fernhill and now Blantyre. :smiley-laughing002:

All the nice places then? Spittal and rutherglen are my only two places. Knew a load of lads from fernhill when I was at school. Not so much now though.

I wouldn't call Drumchapel, Ruchill, Possil and Castlemilk nice, in any sense of the word.

Fernhill was also a shithole when I lived there.

Blantyre is nice if you ignore all the murders. :smiley-laughing002:
