There was at least 500 guys outside, and I saw way more than 30 people leaving all round the stadium. Don't forget that a few Irish CSC's didn't bother making the trip due to all this, maybe thats why the attendance was given at 56,000, and thats not counting absent season ticket holders.

You told me that it is was the GB that was organising the leaflet last night. Only going with what you said. Plus the GB think they're better than everyone else - it might not be a face but it's my opinion :50::86:

Dear oh dear, Celtic what have you done. This decision to force the wearing the poppy was wrong. I dont agree with it but thats neither here nor there. What it has done is split the fans. (Thats what was intended).

Some people agree with it and some people dont. Please lads stop slagging each other off over this. Its over now done and dusted. Lets get back together and support our team.

    Because we are CELTIC supporters.:celt_2:

I thought it was a good attendance today z not many empty seats the walk out looked pretty pathetic to me. Looked like 30 - 40 kids with scarfs wrapped round there faces and holding up pictures of John Reid pretty sad and imo the boos where fully deserved shame on the GB

Pathetic...I totally agree. And the wee guy at the back waving the tricolour when he probably wasn't Irish.

I think the GB do a great job, what they are trying to do is keep the identity and values a large part of the celtic support,a lot of people dont understand that because they never went to the old stadium, they have no idea what it used to be like,as for elitest i think you find there as down to earth as anyone else, and if they go to all the games home and away and to europe then they are better fans than a lot of us(myself included),and by the way i'm not one of them.

No you're wrong there. They are not better fans. Just because they go to many games doesn't make them better fans.

So someone who only goes to celtic park supports the team as well as someone who goes week in week out ?

I'm on the fence with all this. One one hand if people want to walk out they can do just that, as long as they're not dragging other people into it against their will, but at the very least they should have a small sembelnce of respect in the sense that if it wasn't for people like my grandad (who died in France in WWII) and other families relatives, they wouldn't be able to protest to this day.

That's all I have to say really. This whole thing is a vicious cycle, expect these kind of arguments (and that's what they are, not debates) to surface next year.

I'm not talking about economics,if you are there to cheer on the team in EVERY match then surely you have supported them more than someone who has cheered them on for HALF the games.

But if they can't afford to go to "EVERY" match , then that makes them no less of a fan. Plus the GB - who may go to "EVERY" game - are trying to drag our club into the gutter imo.

I will accept some people genuinely cant afford to go to every game, but i can assure you the vast majority of the guys who do are not rich but they are spending a larger proportion of there income to follow celtic every week.

    It's called respect.
So I couldn't care less , I still don't think it makes them a better fan.

Social peer pressure to do so.. and fearing media reaction.

And making our players wear the poppey when infact motherwell players didnt have them on bar a few. and the whole manure side today against arsenal.

    * load of horseshit perpetrated by the * john reid in charge of celtic right now
