agree completely, if we'd signed Gordon instead of FF, Zaluska would play most of the season. Gordon's one of those players that slips on the way out the bath and is out for three months. Would be an absolute waste of money.

I like the idea of the MLS league in the hunt for players, but the best guys come straight to europe from college football.
I know youtube is unreliable but I've watched the sandomierski vids and he does look decent. Never mind, I'm happy with FF. Another good season and we get him for 2m, if he has a bad season we let him go and spend next summer hunting the world for a new number 1. As long as we keep the current group of players together, NL only has a couple deals to do in and out. getting FF on another loan gives us another season to scout for a new No1. Most likely from Poland.

he might turn out to be a good keeper but as far as i can see the only thing he's got going for him is that he's a giant! don't remember him being "brilliant" for us, i remember him making as many big mistakes as he did good saves (ie - kick out against the huns at CP, league cup final, riordan chip etc). also, terrible at coming off his line and even worse at communicating with his centre backs.

as for the "most clean sheets in SPL history" arguement, he took that title from rab douglas, and no-one would argue he was the second best keeper in SPL history!

hopefully he improves this season working with stevie woods (would have been better if he got a full pre-season with him though) as i would love to be proved wrong about him!

anyway, i hope zaluska keeps his place tonight after a great second half performance on saturday...MON EH HOOPS!!!!

That's a pretty harsh assessment, man.

Big Fraser was certainly better last season than the blunder merchant Boruc was in his last 2 seasons.

Riordan's goal was a tremendous effort, not going to get many of them a season.

Riordan chip was a mistake from Forster? * :97:

That was just a very, very good goal. Very few keepers could've saved it.

:56::56::56: Disagree with your opinion of Forster, but this cracked me up. He's already a giant, named Lurch and Frankenstein, and now is called a vampire.

think it is bad business from Celtic, they are exposing there hand its obvious that he is here to help us qualify, and to win the league, and in Europe, but should we make in roads the price for a keeper will go up, either for forster, or someone else. they should have made a offer of money and got it agreed, before a result is known as after all we do know the lad has potential.

A transfer fee is agreed. If we want to sign him we have until June 30th to offer Newcastle £2M

but you would expect a 6ft 7in goalkeeper to atleast jump for it and try to get something on it! poor reactions in my opinion

The ball was about 12 feet in the air when it went past Forster. It was a sublime goal and he had no chance.

I can't really see what Forster could have done with the chip. It was just a ridiculous goal.

When I saw that goal go in I thought at 6"7 you shouldn't be getting lobbed, but looking at the replays noone in the World is saving that. His positioning was fine so nothing to do with that, just a great goal.

Maybe he could've back-tracked and tried to leap as the ball was coming down.

maybe a bit harsh then, but still doesn't change my opinion on him!

had to laugh at this wee bit from his wikipedia page:

"Despite his giant frame and impressive track record, he has never represented England at any level."

No the price is set. If we pay the set price before his loan deal expires then we get him for that price.

If I offered you 24 clean sheets for the season ahead, would you take it?

That's what is potentially on offer.

Also, with KWilson in there I think we are going to be harder to score against.

YOu'd also be offering me a goalkeeper, who can't kick, a goalkeeper who can only punch the ball away at the very few crosses he comes for, despite being 6foot 7 and should be easily catching it, and starting an attack. A goalkeeper who can't command a defense and a goalkeeper who can't get down quick enough.

I hope Zaluska still starts, and forster is our back up.
