Some fans have very poor memories, very poor.

Whenever Zaluska is in goals and someone, or something, is coming at him I * myself. Hands in my mouth everytime.

Never once had that feeling with Foster. Not once. I bet all the fans felt the same. Nobody was thinking, "Aw *, our goalies a nightmare" before every game.

The boy is safe hands. Good technique, reads the play and, for a big gangly guy, he has quick reactions.

Remember that save from Jelavic's free kick? He went the wrong way, saw it at the last minute and stuck out a Mr. Fantastic plastic arm at the last second to send it over.

Hail Hail big yin. Welcome home!

    Really?

To me it sums up just how useful stats are at sorting out the facts - Forster's excellent record - from the myths - the Holy Goalie he hates the Huns he crosses himself and says * Bless the Pope.

Very pleased we've finally got the keeper we wanted all along. :50:

Fraser had a great record with us last season, he is miles better than Zaluska.

My only worry with him is when he is under pressure, his kicks etc are bad. However this is something that can be worked on easily.

I'd rather have him in the goal over Zaluska, but I was hoping we might get someone a wee bit older in with a bit more experience. Great though we have the option to sign at the end of the loan, a loan is the best for both parties here and I'm pleased with that.

At least with Fraser we know what we are getting, we are not gambling millions on a player for them to be awful.

I am pleased to see Forster back, people have a downer on certain people and Forster is another. In my time watching Celtic we have never had a solid goalkeeper who was superb in ever aspect of their position. Carl Muggelton, Pat Bonner, Gordon Marshall, Jonathan Gould, Rab Douglas, Magnus Hedman and even the Holy Goalie himself were vulnerable in certain aspects.

Forster is more than capable of being No1 and proved that last season. Instead of slating the guy why not give him the full backing at every match and see how he develops.

Is there an option to buy him at the end of the season?

Not convinced this is the solution at all. Forster is a decent enough keeper, but he's nothing special as far as I'm concerned. He doesn't command his box well and doesn't come out for enough crosses, plus his kicking is awful. And once again, it's a loan signing rather than a long term fix. We'll be in exactly the same position next season, and everything I've heard from Pardew says he doens't want to sell. We have top quality scouts who unearthed the likes of Izzy and Kayal, I don't see why it's so difficult for them to find a quality, affordable keeper who we could bring in and know we have a reliable keeper between the sticks for the next few years.

Scouts probably don't read these forums but i reckon it might be worth checking out the US leagues, a nation that big is bound to have some quality keepers in the mould of Brad Friedel or Kasey Keller and they probably wouldn't be expensive either. Just a thought. UK based premier players are overpriced

Zaluska has had a chance. He aint up to it. Did u see him saturday? Spilled the first shot that came to him. Rushed out for a mad 1-1 with Russel that he was never getting and fluffed a gk in the 2nd half.

No title for 3 seasons we cant afford to be sentimental. We need players in we can trust and FF is a better option.

I think Zaluska will start tomorrow and he deserves too on form and match fitness alone.

    Crazy comment :43:

I didn't but i heard he played well overall???I'm not being sentimental. Where neither keeper is convincing, the current incumbent deserves to keep his place until he has clearly proved that he is damaging the team. People are judging Zaluska on last year's mistakes, he has done ok this year, i say let Forster fight for his place.

I think that the overall consensus was that he had a couple of good saves but left everyone feeling a bag of nerves.

I agree that FF should have to fight for his place and am unsure if I would want him to start tomorrow. However it is a big game for us and I am just not confident in him. He is fine as back up for a couple of games, but I think for a prolonged run, like he had under TM, he is liable to commit errors.
