Samaras has looked out of is depth in the Groups this year also. He has probably been our worst performer in the compeititon.

I wouldn't say he is particularly gifted in the technical department either.

 

Were Commons and Mulgrew not present during our Champions League exploits last year like?

Both are techincally better than Samaras, and van Dijk this season by far.

 

For me this is laziness rather than a lack of ability. He proved last year he had the ability to play at this level. Lack of ability is forgivable, lack of effort is not.

In a nutshell.

I can accept going out against superior opposition, but whimpering out with dreadful tactics and woeful performances (attitude-wise) cannot be defended.

 

His laziness is infuriating. And it's the main reason I wouldn't be bothered if he was to go now. He was found out this year in my opinion.

 

Ok. Our opinions differ on this matter. I admit I forgot about Van Dijk as I was thinking of last season. Derk would also have a case but we will have to wait and see.

I felt sammy was a key player last year and has gone into hiding this year. I forgive him his constant underperformances in the SPL as a player who will maybe make up for it in the bigger stage.

 

He's been far better domestically this year I feel. His hat-trick performance being one example. 8 goals before Christmas isn't typical Sammy. It's odd bevause he's playing * but scoring more, I'd rather he played better and scored less like previous seasons.

I can't believe how quickly some people's perception of Sammy has turned.

 

I have a soft spot for Samaras for various reasons, however Lennon is determined that he can play lone striker. This is just silly, it does not work, we can all see that.

I have no idea why he perstists in doing this, we have guys like Atajic and Balde waiting, probably champing to get and work their arses off to grab a goal. Young Atajic showed real composure and class to chip that last goal.

I fall asleep watching Sammy sometimes......seriously.....he's like hot milk and cookies.....night night....ahhhh.

Against Hibs he does it again, brings Sammy on, the whole pace of the game grinds to a snail pace.

He does not look like a guy who is playing to stay or for the club.

Thank you for last season Sammy, immense in the CL, but if Lennon will not allow others a sniff up front because of sheer blind loyalty....then I'd like him to go.
