Missed him big time tonight

Not sayi the result would've been different but before kick off i felt it was a massive deflation to hear Sammy was'nt playing we really did miss someone creative although in fairness I thought Commons played brilliantly first half.I think a major factor was the decision to play Ambrose who I think is usually excellent backfired on us.

 

Hope he's back for the second leg.

I'm no gonnae say we would have won tonight if Sammy was playing but what I will say is this............we missed the big man. He's a star man for us in Europe. It was a blow that he couldn't play.

 

After ff, i would say he is our most important player for a game like this .

 

Glad he didn't play.

That's the best we've played in Europe all season.

Dominated a very good team only to be cheated by the ref and that * moron Ambrose.

 

We did play well without him but there was times in the game were we were launching long balls forward to forrest, hooper and commons ffs if sammy was there we would have had better chance of winning the balls in the air.

 

I'm not criticizing any of our players but I think Sammy would have given us goals in that game. The Play was very open and Sammy would have been perfect to make the runs we needed, I just hope He's fit for the next tie.

With all those crosses coming in, we played a game plan as if sammy was on the field. Wished he was so badly

 

Missed him so badly last night, we had nobody to win the ball in the air and hold it up.

 

I though we got the ball forward easy enough it was doing something with it in the cheating side box that we had problems with......and sammy aint the best with headers....lol.
But ill be glad when he is back.
