Some of this stuff is embarrassing to read. Stokes didn't score, commons didn't score, ki didn't score, Ledley didn't score get them all to *.

Why's samaras always the scapegoat, can't people accept that the TEAM didn't win?

Bollocks to the lot of you sammy is a good player and honestly dont know why he has been singled out for such abuse. When he signed the contract I never heard anybody saying it was the wrong decision in fact the majority of people were in favour of it.

To say he lost us the league last season is unbelievable he won the game for us at ibrox and may have missed a penalty but that was during 1minute in a 90minute game commons could have missed it had he taken it. It was at Inverness we lost it.

Can't make sammy the scapegoat there was stokes who did * all during the week it is a TEAM game and blame does not fall on one player

Yes but all those players you have mentioned have scored recently and regularly. It startles me that folk still defend the useless * Sammy. He isn't a scapegoat, he's just * * at football and shouldn't be pulling on the hooped jersey.

Slightly off subject but I recently met a guy who works at celtic park and is a kind of minder to the players.I asked him about the players in general and he said most of them are big headed a**holes but that Sammy was by far the most modest and decent player there.Very down to earth a real gentleman and not big headed at all. He treats the ball boys the same way as the top brass and has time for everyone. Knowing that it upset me greatly at the game the other night when people were booing him every time he made a mistake. I am sure that did wonders for his confidence. So much for fiathful thruogh and through. Come on guys we need to get behind all the players and give them our support. I was really dissapointed with the atmosphere at the game the other night. Thank * for the green brigade or there would have been no atmosphere. Team will hopefully perfrom better away from home and all the negative booing from so called fans.:54:

I don't think anyone has anything against Sammy's personality, it's just the fact he is an utterly horrendous footballer.

i like others get/are frustrated with sammy! hes either amazing (very rare) or *!

however when he plays i am more optimistic than when murpheys playing!

hes not too bad. (however agree with some others on here!)

i personallly would never boo a celtic player whilst he has the hoops on! of course i turn to my mates and say hes * or moan and groan, but to boo a celtic player...............i dont think so!

the man loves the club and tries to give 100 per cent. imagine how that bloke felt when he was in the dressing room and went home. i for one dont want to make a celtic player feel like that for one second.

It's really difficult to stay in a positive frame of mind when you see Samaras doing so many stupid things on the park, it's a team game and I think it's only fair that he should at least try to play as part of the team and give a similar level of effort.

Personally I think he could do a lot more on the park, but he is lazy, he lacks conviction and I can't believe that someone like Neil Lennon with his winners mentality can tolerate so many sub-standard performances.

It's a very dangerous road which Neil Lennon is going down at the present time, Neil has probably enjoyed the highest level of support of any Celtic manager since Jock Stein, yet he is telling the Celtic supporters to get of Samaras's back. Well Neil when you work hard to earn a living and pay good money to enter Celtic Park you expect all your players to try their best, most of us don't believe that Samaras is actually trying, so perhaps it's you that should be getting on his back !!!

No he doesn't deserve to be criticised for his starting 11. I was happy to see Sammy starting same for every other player. But the way he set them out was absolutely ridiculous.

He certainly hasn't been *, just not upto his usual form. He has a few assists thus far this season and managed to grab a goal in Dublin.

A don't have anything against sammy he could well be a great guy but its about what he does on the pitch and so far he hasn't done enough and he has had so many chances. I have tried to stick up for him in the past and made excuses for him but a just cant do it anymore, he needs to go.

yes he does deserve to be criticised for his starting 11 .there should have been at least 4 players starting ahead of that useless * samaras ,my only worry is that lennon is that stubborn and wont admit he wrong and continue to play him ,ruining the backing he has built up with the fans (like strachan)

He has made 3 assists. But im just going to do what you all do when Sammy does something good.

His 3 assists were lucky, he hasn't worked hard enoug, his haircut is stupid, he's a fairy etc.

I do mate because hopefully it will show him how much we love the club and maybe make him realize that if he gave 100% and went off that park looking like he had put in a shift people wouldn't get on his back. a don't expect him to do much but the smallest of improvements on a consistent basis would be a huge step in the right direction for him but a really don't see it happening he has had four years to do so and he has only really showed what he has twice and that was when he was trying to get a move away from city and in the old firm game last year those are the only times that stand out in my mind when a thought he could be a good player but it isn't going to happen.

Do you think people just slate him for the fun of it? And most people that do, don't do because of his haircut, they base their opinion purely on what they see in his lackluster performances. It's because he has been given so many chances to start performing and just.....hasn't! That's the truth of it. I would love nothing more than to see Sammy start playing good football........but whens it going to happen? Should we give him another three years?
