I understand folk that are not his biggest fan, because he is a confidence player and when it go's wrong for him, it often go's very wrong.

However I think his talent is probably unrivaled in our dressing room, when he plays at his peak he is clearly out of SPL class, I truely believe no one is better than him in our league on his day.

Take his second goal against killie, that little jink he done left that defender completely on his *, when he runs at defenders he just seems to glide past folk, playing as a deep lying striker seems to work very well for him.

I hope the whole of the support gets behind him, because while his performances have been in question his heart and love for the club have not been.

And finally, I hope he alsolutely destroys the huns!

    agree 100%.

his recent form has given hope that he may find some consistency. for me, it hasn't overshadowed his poor form for three years.

i hope he continues this form. he'll only change my mind of him around the end of the season.

he wasn't a striker. strikers score. before some owner of Sammy-tinted specs comes on here all guns blazing with 'how many goals did he score at the weekend?', he wasn't up front and his scoring record last season whilst up front was shocking.

i have this feeling that once the window shuts, he'll revert to his old poor ways. i hope i am wrong.

The thing is he's starting to show some consistency. The only time he showed that was when he went on a run of scoring 12 goals in 12 games. Lets hope he doesn't get rocked by another injury and come back as the old Sammy.

Also a lot of people slated Lennon and Lawell for giving him a new contract, he is justifying that it was the right decision now and I think we could get a fair amount of money if he was to be sold rather than leave for free that a lot of the fans were crying for!

He has done, this thread has become a lot quieter since his improvement in form.

NL said earlier that Samaras is a player that could get him the sack, right now he is a player who could win him the league. I hope he continues to play the way he has recently. He will definitely play on Wednesday and I'm sure he will give them big problems.

"Everyone has had their opinion on how the league race has been going but ours has always been that we could catch Rangers."

How the sun can come up with the headline 'Can you hear us coming Jelavic?' is a bit ridiculous. :56:

To be fair to Jelavic aswell though he never said the "League is in the bag" either, he only said the 12 point lead should be enough to keep them infront never actually said it was or would be all over.

Just like Kayal said the other week, Celtic are the better team, which we are it didn't mean he said we will win the Treble because we are the best just that we were the best team which was correct. The best team doesnt always win and a 12 point gap should be enough.

I think the huns were deluded enough to think they had won it though even though we know they're a * team and could easily collapse.

I think he lacked confidence. But he's gained a lot of it back and is on form. I really hope Lennon plays him on Wednesday.

Why would you be surprised, the manager has been honest since the day he was appointed.

I'm not a fan of Samaras . But will always support him when he is playing . His form at the minute is good so I'd definitly keep him in the team on Wednesday .
But if a decent offer came in for him I'd take it

    I'm not picky.
Good to see the big guy get a couple of goals against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Even with the way he's been playing, though, I don't think that he's made up for his lack of goals for the last three years but IF this can be start of it then it's a good way to go in starting to make up for it.

I like the guy and have always wanted him to do well. Even when he has played poorly and wasn't scoring he was still working his socks off but he did frustrate the * out of me with his mazy runs to nowhere. Was just not getting any end results. IF he can keep this form going until the end of the season it will be pretty hard to sell him and even if we did sell him on we would now get a decent price for him.

Seems that he's found some confidence and hopefully it will continue for him :50:

I just saw Saturday's goals on Sportscene there. I liked what I saw.

For the first goal, Sammy really attacked the ball in the air. Something I'd like to see him do more often.

And for the second goal it was great to see him really put his foot through the ball for a change.

    Good stuff. :celt_2:

A very talented player with a fragile confidence - what did some of our supporters do? boo and moan - aye brilliant psychology that  Good to see his confidence back and some goals too. now please people dont get on his back if he has the odd poorer game. it aint clever.
