I don't think he did too much wrong last night. Lenny has to take the blame for setting the team up wrong from the get-go!

That said, I still want Sammy far away from the team... I've seen enough in the past 2 seasons to know that he is an absolute nightmare!

3 standout performances every year doth not a player make!

 

it actually angers me just seeing him wearing that strip! I don't understand how Lenny likes him - the guy could play a part in him eventually losing his job, he's utterly dreadful.

 

I used to like Sammy, but everytime he starts now, i'm in despair, he's been carried because he scored at ibrox, woopy * doo, some * players have scored in games against the shame, but guess what they were still * after it, time for the greek to go

 

i agree the team was set up wrong but i genuinely think if we had a big guy up front that would stay up front and give 100% then we would have a lot more joy and the system may have actually worked

 

Just watched lenny on ssn defending sammy while claiming stokesy maybe should have done better in front of goal, i'm flabbergasted

 

hes pure * bhoys and ghirls. How long has he been at the club now FFS and I can recall 2 or 3 good games he has played. he doesnt merit the wages he is on and he doesnt deserve the support he gets from some folk on here as in "give him a chance" "give him time" etc etc... hes not a goal scorer hes not a midfielder Im struggling at this stage to wonder is he a footballer, hes not first choice and you dont bring him on as an impact sub so why the * is he still here????? personally im sick of him and I hate slatting our players but his time is up hes no use to us.

It could have worked if Stokes wasn't pushed out wide, the amount of balls Samaras won in the air with nobody around him to support in the first half was ridiculous, he'd knock them down then have to chase after them himself half the time.

 

He doesn'tlook like he has the hunger or passion to win. He looks like the kinda guy who would be happy sitting on the bench collecting his paycheck. He knows he couldnt get a game at any other decent football club. As a player since we got him he hasnt actually developed at all and has gotten alot worse rather than improved. I remember him being reallygood under strachan and I repeatedly wonder what happened to that player? It says alot for a players mentality; he knows hes sorted at Celtic until hes basically 30 and he doesnt have to go anywhere.

I agree he is * and cant form a partnership with anyone and he is ..probably the most frustrating player to have such an extended period at Parkhead and needs punted

That said when he puts on the Hoops and is on the park we should be giving him our full backing and support, what use is it to knock his confidence when he is on the park surely that cant be for the good of the team. Let the huns boo their players !!

 

Easier said than done buddy, we can only tolerate incompetent players so long, his numbers up

 

Hoping come the last day of transfer market some teams will be desperate and take Sammy and a couple more fringe players,needs to happen.He's been here too long and proved time and time again he doesn't fit into our style of play.I really do think he could do well in a continental league,so for his own career he should want a move away.Still support him when he wears the Hoops though.

Desperate for him to step up.

Thing is, this bhoy loves Celtic, loves the fans, the club, his job... He is just so frustrating. I am desperate for him to play like we all know he can, but I can't wait forever. Last ngiht was the absolute ideal chance for Sammi to do the business, earn his stripes as our european lone striker, allow us to play 5 across the midfield, but it was same old same old...

thing i hate about samaras is that he tries to dribble past folks with the ball !!!
if he kept it simple we would all be happy i think

Imagine this!

1) he drops deep to control the ball and lays it off, then runs to the penalty area
2) he makes a run right collects the ball lays it off and runs back to the penalty area
3) he makes a run left collects the ball lays it off and runs back to the penalty area

all three occasions he's in the box when a cross comes in!!!

why the * can't he do this ??? He can physically do this but why doesn't he ???

maybe just maybe he's trying to hard!!! trying to be everywhere! trying to be everything!

 

Sammy is genius. I cant help but think that if he was calld George O'Samaras, or had an Irish granny, everyone would want him to stay, saying he was talented, but not given the chance to shine
