I really hope he takes it to the next level and performs consistently week in week out.

I agree he was very poor and when watching him I thought he was hiding and possibly overawed but he did play against Inter and done well so he maybe just had an off-night. Lets hope so because I am very concerned that Armstrong cannot handle playing for Celtic because if you really look at his play he is contributing very little more often than not. He has the odd decent game here and there.

GMS needs to play on the left, he's left sided and can pick a good cross, plus he can run at players and get a ball across the box easier. Looked much better against Stjarnan away on the left than on the right, no point him cutting in all the time when he has pace to beat players. Would play him and Forrest, two natural wingers and if you need more playmakers on then bring on Armstrong and/or commons.

He was blowing out his * the last 20 and should have been off. He didn't look his normal self, but he had missed training the day before through illness so I imagine that played a part.

I think he looks better on the right if I'm honest. He seems to link up better coming inside and opening up the play. Plus he doesn't really have a right foot so like stjarnan, I think he'd miss quite a few from the left where he doesn't have the whole goal to aim at..

Aye he was injured the week before and had a cold the day of the game, so there is a couple of excuses for him..

In the first half when on the right, he kept getting sucked into the middle a) he was not stretching their defense or in space for the ball b) every time they played out from the back they had so much space for the left back that we lost half the pitch every time.
Think he needs to gear up a level for the big European games.

It looked like his illness effected his game, he wasn't quite sharp enough and lost the ball a few times due to this. Hopefully recovers in the next few days, we will need his willingness to run at defenders for the away game on wednesday and to counter.

Of course coming in off the right will mean a better shot at goal for him, but for me I would want a winger to be setting up, not scoring. Matter of opinion I suppose, and Ronny obviously prefers him on the right but I think some of his performances for D Utd on the left, as well as the flashes he's been there for us, he's looked better suited to it and more effective.

Thought he was poor. Marked out the game.

Armstrong played decent enough. Awarded motm there. Far more involved playing centrally

Armstrong was quiet but GMS did ok. Never stopped working and had a good assist for Johansen.

Don't like him on the left, not as effective enough. Was good for the second goal though..

    Not his best again..

Fraser had him n his pocket. Good assist though. Helped Tierney massively defensively

Wasn't at his best but what I like about him is he never stops working. Always helps out defensively and puts in a great shift.

Looked scared to have a pop at goal a couple of times.

set up a goal and was busy most of the match. think he was hampered by not having a proper left back in behind him

Great weight of pass for the goal, quiet game all in all.

works so * hard off the ball though. Forrest should be embarrassed watching him.

I noticed that, laid it off a couple of times when I was screaming for him to have a dig.
