[No Link] Gary Mackay-Steven

He's played 22 games this season. Wouldn't say he's struggling for game time.

 

Dont see the point in a loan for both sides? If we were to loan him in you would think there would still be some fee involved. We are best just signing him on pre contract then giving Utd a take it or leave it money offer to let him transfer this month.

Fair enough. Mackay Steven does have a bit of injury history unfortunately. Would still be a good signing if he stays fit imo.

 

He can't even get a game for Utd regularly when he is fit. how the * is he good enough for us?

 

Not sold on GMS, blows hot and cold and has injury issues. Would far rather Armstrong.

 

For one we don't have any actual good left wingers. He's been having a fairly good season as well.

Stokes, while not a traditional winger, has been playing out on the left and has probably been our best player so far this season.

 

Aye he's played well but he isn't always the answer. You need to be able to switch it up.

Mackay Steven has played well. Got the same number of assists as stokes.

We have more pressing issues than a back up to Stokes.

 

Of course but 5 goals and 5 assists in 19 league games is good going and better than most of the wingers currently on the team.

 

Stokes has almost 20 goals and assists in the same period, including in europe.

i think a DM and CB are more important just now.

 

I don't particularly want GMS but I think quality pacey wingers is something we're badly missing

 

I agree with you on all that but I don't think mackay Steven is worse than what we have so unless him signing prevents us getting those things I don't see the problem.

 

Don't see the issue with buying him. Stokes has been decent at left wing but what happens if he gets injured? We have very limited options as our wingers are crocked/suspended/*. GMS wouldn't be on a big wage and we're actively trying to punt the deadwood if you believe the papers which would free up such wages

 

I do think that is an important part of Ronny's vision but surely even he would admit that shoring up the back line is more improtant right now?

We are looking as easy as a Blythswood hooker offering blowy's for a bag of hot and spicy monster munch.

I think it's more improtant we shore up the defence for now and then see where we are.

In an ideal world we would sort out all our problems this window.
