Hi surname gives it away really. Mackay-Steven, most people with names like that are posh, probably think it makes them sound classier too, when they move into their wee rich area, instead of the Mackay's moving in next door its the Mackay-Steven's.

 

In fairness, there are more than enough nuggets from the scheme in Scottish football!

 

What is the general feeling here are these two wanted at Parkhead in Jan or the summer?

 

imo we badly need a natural left winger commons cant play there as hes no pace,sammy isnt a left footer,hope we get someone for this position

 

In all honesty, I think you'd have to say Scottish football's Posh-Rich-* issue is less pressing that its Nuggets-Fae-The-Scheme issue. :smiley-laughing002:

 

Doesnt seem like it as we never made any move for them in the summer but we have bid for Russell before.

I think if Commons, McCourt or Stokes were to go, Russell would probably be top of the list to come in as he can play in their roles.

Mackay-Steven we probably dont really want while we have the players we have and the top 3 young players we have Twardzik, McGeouch and George are midfielders who can all play out wide although 2 are centre-mids with a fully-fit squad they're more likely to be played out wide which is only where he can play. Russell gives you the different option of playing wide, up top or in the hole.

Love Russell's work rate, he's impressed me every time i've watched him and ofcourse he's a tim get him signed in january before it's too late.

 

was speaking to johnny russell last night at my local pub in coatbridge .he said he would love to sign for celtic but havent made a move for him yet and dundee utd are asking too much money for him 2million ,dont think celtic will pay this for him
