According to folk on here, they actually offered him £10k less and he chose them to play in the EPL.

    Good luck to him

Unlike most on here I wasn't his biggest fan and didn't rate him as highly as most.

    Done his job though.

He will be lucky to score ten in epl

Done well, scored goals and will be missed.

It's worse for the weans, I think, when the star striker leaves. I remember walking past some boys playing football and one of them said 'I get to be Gary Hooper.'

Ah well, we'll get in another striker and move on.

Terrific player, will be missed badly. Did it in the big games, which is one of the main reasons I liked him.

Adam Le Fondre got more than 10 last season and Hooper is better than him.

It's always a shame to see a good goalscorer leaving the club but his heart wasn't in it anymore so it's time to move on. I'm disappointed he's left us for a club the size of Norwich but in all truth that is probably about his level. The big boys weren't going to come in for him. I wish him all the best down the road and I hope playing in the EPL is everything he has dreamed it is.

I can understand why he did it, but it's a bit of a shame Lenny gave Hoops a few minutes as sub on Wednesday. It would have been better if his final appearance had been the cup final, yet another game he dominated and scored in for us.

Hooper was too perfect for Celtic. We may well get a better striker in future but we will never have someone who's name has "Hoop" in it and was born in a year ending in 88!

Best of luck to Gary, i'll always love him!

Really sad to see him go. I've got 'attached' to him I suppose, a quality player who's scored some very important goals for us in his time. Can only wish him the very best at Norwich.

    Goodbye Gary :55:

Thanks gary, i know money talks but cannot get my head round why u would want to leave somewhere your almost guarenteed champions league football against better teams than the epl, and where most people idolise u, then move to a relegation battle at a club u will be barely recognised.

Thanks for the memories tho and wish u all the best, ill keep a eye out for the Norwich results now.

    All the best

I dont rate Van Wolfswinkel that highly, he did score a hat-trick against us but I dont think he's good enough for the Premiership, not a good enough footballer, not strong enough or not quick enough. Think hes similar to Jordan Rhodes who I dont like much either.
