they won't be able to do two books in even 16 episodes. i can see them combining the two but doing it over the course of two seasons

From reading between the lines when the announcement was made it does appear that season 3 will incorporate elements of 2 books, set to a 10 episode series. Which means almost 100% certain that season 4 will be OK'd also, to complete those books' story arcs. In other words: 2 seasons, 20 eps to complete the story arc from the 2 books, but the books will be intertwined as they tell the story arc.

    Wasn't even a * scene in the last episode...what's going on? :56:

A little annoyed at the end of the episode, as it differs from the books, but probably for the best to speed up Dany's plot point.

    Great episode, otherwise.

    Theon Greyjoy is a *!!

Other than that a good episode. Only four more episode to go. I wish the seasons were much longer.

Another corker of an episode this week. Once again, it is a reminder of why I prefer not to watch shows on TV... as there is always the week long wait for the next one.

    Just can't get enough! :icon_mrgreen:

After watching the new episode tonight it seems they will be branching off from the book quite a bit.

Can't believe there is only like 3 more episodes to go before the season ends & have to wait another year before the next. Another corker... Am trying to be vague, as I'm trying not to be a spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet, but was what was seen at the end of the ep for real?

its actually gutting! S2 is just picking up pace every week its better and better, most definitely the must watch on the box atm. For me the best thing about it is the char progression Ayra (for a actress so young she plays the part excellently) my two favourite chars have to be Tyrion (legend!) and Daenerys (the underdog and hot to go with it :icon_mrgreen:)

Both looking forward to the last couple of episodes - end of season finale and not looking forward to it at the same time haha

Agree 100%. The story arcs involving these 3 (along with John Snow) are my favourites also. :50:

Ayra's character progression is the best one in the books.

Closely followed by Daenerys although I do agree Arya's POV was probably my favourite and I also liked John's. Just wish GRRM would write quicker I don't think I can handle another 6 year wait especially with the way the last book ended.

Can see why they changed Daenerys story and I cant wait for episode 9 :icon_mrgreen:

    Another fantastic episode!!

I have to agree with everything that has already been said in this thread, it just keeps getting better and better. It's just annoying there are only 10 episodes per season. I really need to get started on the books.

It's without doubt the best programme on tv at the moment. :50:

Have just finished downloading the 'Song of Fire and Ice' audiobooks, so I can listen to the books... it's as close as I'm going to be able to get to being able to read them myself. :50:

I highly doubt it was the Stark boys, most likely the farmers boys
