  1. You lads should pick up the books. :50:

  2. I picked up a couple, but I feel like HBO is one of the few production companies who actually dont butcher books, like most movies do.

  3. Downloaded the books on my tablet havent watched the series yet though.

  4. The new series premieres in America on Sunday. Sky Atlantic premiers on Monday night here in the UK, but for those that can't wait, am sure it will hit the the internet within hours of the US premiere finishing. Can't wait.

  5. ive been watching the 1st series since yesterday, its excellent

  6. Just spent the day going through the first season again, just as a warm up in anticipation of season 2 premiering this weekend/Monday. Just can't get enough.

Answer to your query, I am enjoying all of the aspects of the series, but there are some standout characters that I really like:

    Daenerys Targaryen
    - really enjoyed watching her development from mere * to Khaleesi and to the end of the first season the Dragon Queen.

Tyrion Lannister - Having to rely on his wits (& a hefty wallet, lol), there's a wee soft spot for outcasts; the crippled Bran Stark for example.

    Arya Stark
    - really dig her 'tomboy' attitude. Maybe just a kid, but ain't gonna take no sh*t, fiesty & resourceful.

    Jon Snow
    - fascinated to follow what's going to happen beyond the wall & life in the Night's Watch.

There are plenty of others, but these 4 I've really taken to.

  7. Can't wait for this to start, really excited, first season was immense.

  8. You'll really enjoy Stannis Baratheon in the new season, I think. He's such an underrated character, really, but he's comfortably one of the strongest characters. I really hope Stephen Dillane delivers a portrayal of the character. He just has some fantastic moments...can't wait to see how he mixes with the other actors. One in particular, but it'd be a spoiler to reveal. :86: Oh, and not to mention Liam Cunningham's character, Davos Seaworth, who is Stannis' right hand man.

Anyway, HBO ordered, so will be watching this live on Sunday! :icon_mrgreen:

  9. I really like Stannis and Davos in the books, and can't wait to see people's reaction to choice Theon makes in this one.

  10. Theon is one of my most disliked characters. :38:

Saying that, Loras Tyrell wasn't far behind. What a douche.

  11. Season 2 premiere on Sky Atlantic tonight at 9pm :icon_mrgreen:

  12. The wait is almost over... Just 20 min to go. :84:

  13. Watched it last night. :bbpd:

I enjoyed it. The episode seemed to fly by...

  14. This cracked me up: http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-t...f-thrones-to-english-premier-league-converter

    Full converted list. :56:

  15. I didn't think it was the best first episode to a new series, far too many plots/sub plots trying to be covered over 45 minutes. They tried to get in all the big players and not enough time spent on the outline of the story. I still found it very enjoyable but i was a little underwhelmed by the opening.

  16. the ending was great not in a sense of good but of shock hate that wee incest * joffrey

  17. i just found out about this show yesterday, its fantastic! i love when i dont hear about shows until a good few have been out, yesterday i got to sit and watch all of season 1 in one 1 go :icon_mrgreen:

i was quite surprised at the all round quality of child acting in the show, normally children are horrible at acting in anything you watch (like that Carl in TWD :31:) but they are brilliant in this, especially that little Arya Stark, she kept making me laugh all through out the series as she reminds me of my wee cheeky monkey cousin

aye its a good show, i watched them all in a coupe of days 2 weeks ago :50:

  18. Have watched the first ep of S2 yesterday & again tonight. Great to have it back on. The ep pretty much serves as a reminder as to where everyone is and the paths they are on, so I would expect next week the intrigue to be turned up a notch or 2.

    Best show on TV. :50:

(Not that I watch that much TV, lol)
