You seem to forget that GoT is inspired by real life events (War of the Roses for example). It is very naive to believe that there is such thing as good versus evil, if you believe that, you are better of with LOTR. The real world is not black/white, it is mostly grey and that it is what makes GoT so brilliant.

And no character development? Just two words: Jaime Lannister.

The barely fantasy bit is another silly point. It's either fantasy or not, which having dragons, giants, white walkers, a boy who can control other people/animals suggests it is fantasy.

And the good thing about GoT is that the fantasy does not prevent that a very realistic story is being told.

So is Baelish out to get that little * now yous think ? He seemed so insignificant at first but he is coming into the main story more and more everytime he's on screen.

Whos you're favourite characters? I like the Midget, Jamie Lanaster, Arya, Jon Snow and The Hound and the mad guy that was the protector guy of the midget.

Not really, they have been lazily thrown in with some poor writing. The white walkers haven't been a prominent role on the screen throughout, alot of the time they are merely referred to, although I expect this to change as the seasons progress.

The dragons haven't played an important role thus far and were shoddily added and parade our screen every now and again. Bran, yes he can control people but look how that just sprung up on is and its hardly enough for it to be en enthralling fantasy.

Im not saying its not fantasy, I'm just saying that it is fantasy lite in all honesty. They haven't pushed the boundaries, there is nothing new to it. Although, whilst reading the books I have realised it becomes a bit more 'fantasy' like.

    This explains it aswell:

I don't believe anything is black and white - of course not. However the 'shades of grey' supposedly in GOT is a bit pie in the sky. People are murdered and raped constantly - its the norm. And the article was right for saying its power for powers sakes. The shades of grey aren't really shades of grey, they are just the norm in GoT and it makes it seem pointless.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the show but I do see the flaws. It is really overrated.

I used to believe that it was overrated. I find myself looking forward to every Monday now so that I can watch it, and I can't say that about a lot of TV shows.

I could take the red wedding but that was even worse for me, every character you get attached to ends up dead in increasing levels of brutality. By season 7 there will be no * left

That was the most excruciating thing I've ever seen on television. Psychologically scarred!

The screams were * horrific. The repeated "YOU RAPED MY SISTER. YOU MURDERED HER. YOU MURDERED HER CHILDREN" was incredibly powerful. Just like that, the Mountain became ten times more evil than Joffrey, Ramsay Snow, Reese Bolton, and all the Lannisters combined. The only end for him that would be justice is if Sandor came back and set him alight.

Even apart from that though, probably the best episode I've seen. Kieran Gibbs is after Missandei :icon_mrgreen:

    What the *?!

That was the most brutal thing I've seen on TV, * rank. Had a feeling something was going to happen after Oberyn didn't finish him, gutted that he's dead though, he could have been an amazing character:54: I'll be a bit teary eyed if Tyrion dies as well , love the wee *. Really, really hope Sandor somehow meets his brother again and tortures the *!
