Nah, ILTC is correct. As much as I love GOT it certainly isn't a patch on Prison Break or Breaking Bad - especially not Breaking Bad.

The whole thing has been dragged out too far in the books, which means it will be dragged out in the show, * I reckon we will have another 6 years before its finished. There is also alot of 'nothing' episodes were there isn't any real progression.

The characters are not developed as much as BB and it either: drags a stroyline/character out too far (Khaleesi) or cuts it short (Edard Stark).

The acting can be * awful aswell bar Peter Dinklage.

And the series has too many new characters added in that are nowhere in the book.

 

It's so much better than Prison Break though.

I get how people could say it's not on Breaking Bad's level but Prison Break was only really good for one season.

That's not really true as actually the show has bits that aren't even in the books yet ie the ending with the white walker & the baby scene

 

Watched the last two episodes the smornin, aye I agree that was a great episode - especially as I never seen it coming, makes it more interesting now. Downloaded the rest of the episodes up to now.

 

Season 4 is on another level btw, every episode has you drawn in.

I stopped on season 2 first time around, thought it was overrated pish. Thank * I went back and rewatched it all a few months ago

 

Going on to episode 3 of season 4 the now, I agree it is getting better and better. Great show :icon_mrgreen:

Although a loved every season of Prison Break. A lot of other folk will tell you they dragged the * out of that. Would you agree?

A find it hard to separate Lost, Prison Break and GOT. There all superb. Although Breaking Bad is way ahead of any show for me.

As much as I loved Breaking Bad, it's overrated to *. It's a fantastic show, no doubt, but to say it's miles ahead of GOT is a bit much.

It's each to there own. There will be people that tell you this show is overrated to *. In fact there has been two posters on here who have said as much on the last page of this thread. ILTC didn't even think it was that good after watching the first three seasons.

For me Breaking Bad is king

 

Aye of course, all about opinions.

Both are amazing to be fair. Need to watch through Breaking Bad again, actually.

 

I think Breaking Bad * all over GOT to be honest: the writing, the acting, the foreshadowing and progression of the character and storyline. The concept is so unique aswell.

I read an article about GOT and it has kind of ruined it for me.

1) Its barely fantasy - bar a few dragons and 'white walkers' that are taking ages to * arrive.
2) The characters are not developed enough and many of them die before this happens - its so lazy
3) Nothing matters - everything is power for powers sake, its not for good or for evil, there is no reason or rhyme as to why anything is happening. People die and get raped constantly just, well just because.
4) Too nihilistic
5) Relies too heavily on its pornographic lude nature
