I didn’t think they were protected. There’s a few that could easily have gone due to their story arcs being done. All the ones in the room for Brienne’s knighthood could have been chucked apart from either one of the Lannister brothers. One needs to be alive.

Plus she is not even a good leader, 99.9% of the people following her are doing because she either freed them from Slavery, or in the case of the Dothraki literally burned all their leaders alive in front of them

That was a great summary. Annoying what they've done to the show.

I just seen Avengers Endgame tonight and its such a stark (*winks*) contrast between that and GoT. Both stories have been carefully crafted over a similar period of time and it was genuinely moving to see Endgame bring that to a conclusion in such a careful and loving manner. No stone (*winks again*) was left unturned and every consideration was given to the source material.

It makes it even more frustrating to think about what they done in that episode. Why have they spent so long building up the Night King, the white walkers, and the army of the undead, when they were going to be defeated so easily? In a fight where basically no one of significance was harmed?

Fake outs are the * laziest thing they can do in a tv show as well. Well maybe second laziest, after filming a massive battle scene in the dark in order to save money on visual effects. How did they cut the season to 6 episodes and still have to resort to cheap money saving techniques?

Obviously when a show is so groundbreaking and popular it becomes impossible to bring it to a conclusion that everyone is going to be happy with, but the * don't even seem interested in resolving even its most basic plot points in a satisfying manner. Doesn't bode well for the final three eps.

Got a feeling they're gonna try and finish with some kind of non-ending. There's already talk of spin-offs and prequels, and HBO losing 50m subscribers as soon as the show finishes. I'm worried they're only interested in keeping this cash cow alive in order to milk it again in the future, rather than give the show the climax it deserves.

I wasn’t actually a huge fan of Endgame for some reason - never really saw much more of the series than Infinity War (which was better imo), and the guy beside me stank, but even then I could tell it was well written, rounded things off nicely, and was satisfying for those who had invested in the series over the past decade or so.

There’s nothing I can add to the criticism of episode 3 that hasn’t been covered in that video. Watching it first time round I was reasonably happy with it given the amazing visuals, music, some good acting performances etc, but I really don’t think it will be an episode that ages well.

People will say ‘it’s fantasy, you have to suspend beliefs to enjoy it’ which is of course true - anyone watching a fantasy series and complaining about the fantasy element (dragons, magic etc) is a bit of a *. However, characters actions, decisions, abilities and personalities should always follow the rules that the writers themselves have created and that didn’t seem to be the case at all.

They can still turn it around imo, if they can provide a well rounded finish over the next 3 episodes. I get the feeling it will simply be on to Cersei now which would be really unsatisfying. Two completely separate scenarios of beating the undead and then beating Cersei would be a weak way of ending a story that’s been intertwined for the best part of 7 seasons.

Thought the reason behind ending it is because it is becoming to expensive to run each season each actor actress wants more money hence the prequel start again with new cast

It's spot on to be fair. A lot of things just can't be explained by the rules they set up. You cant really complain about the small things like characters jumping between areas as it just needs to be done as theres not enough time but the speed the dead move, how the dead die, what armour protects from, the damage dragons can do and stuff they had mad inconsistencies with.

Even now you can't really think how the dead actually die, do they only need to be touched with the weapons like the Night King for example crumbled as soon as he was stabbed, so did the big giant but at other times weve seen the dead have arms knocked off and continue to move.

the other night there , I put all the lights out and sat and watched it again in peace and quiet ( family in their beds ) . could see it so much better ( Monday morning was bright sunshine even with the blinds drawn) . I didn't see the Dothraki lights all going out in the distance first time .

They used dragon glass in the battle of winterfell only that or Valerian steel will kill them on impact, the whites can be killed with fire too but we saw the night king can't not sure about the other general * weakness to fire
