Did that definitely happen? I didn’t notice it.

  3. In that episode, yes it would have surprised me. They were all protected because of the battle with cersei coming up. They might die in the next few episodes, but it's not uncommon for main characters to die at the very end of a TV series. I can think of a couple straight away from 2 of the most popular TV shows since 2000

  4. Aye they were. So they weren’t reanimated, which is why I wasn’t sure if they defo disintegrated

It still annoys me that there isn't an open world game set in this universe yet.

    So much potential.

  7. It didn't Jon was in an entirely different place in winter fell compared to arya their know way he knew arya was jumping to kill the nk...... Jon snow was a complete let down in episode what did he think screaming at that dragon was gonna do he knows how crucial his valryian sword was.... Logically you would use it but for some reason they thought oh aye we will get him to scream at the * thing

  9. Here's hoping in some mad twist the baby we see get turned in a previous season is still kicking about somehow.

Who * knows anymore. But it's annoying as * to know now, that will have a harder time dealing with Cersei then they did an unlimited army who's leader had a dragon and could survive dragon fire without a scratch and the Wights that we have seen at Hard home just batter * like Skittles, don't even lift a finger at winterfell.

Said it before, but I doubt anything will ever top GoT for me. But man, since they moved ahead of GRRM's material, the writing has dropped off so much.

I doubt GRRM intends to just kill the NK as easily as that, with no real backstory of indication of what they want and why they want it. Them being pure evil and just wanting to end human life doesn't feel like GRRM's idea.

It's just small things that are annoying. Why big up Valyrian steel for so long only to not really show us it in action? Why has Ghost went from being in a few big scenes and being so important to Jon and Sam, to making two fleeting appearances since season 6 episode 3?

When GRRM finally finishes the books, if he ever does, I think they'll be a must read. No doubt he'll actually have payoff for things that the show has failed to do.

Don't think he's ever finishing them tbh, taken him 8 years still no sequel to the last one and he's not even started the last book and he's not getting any younger think he's just happy to count his money made from the show.

  13. Was joking with the Missus the other night he's probably waiting for the show to end, see how it's received by fans and then write something better and watch the money flow like a running tap.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I guarantee you never knew any of that on Saturday.

  16. What was the point of all those creepy white walker symbols and mystery just to find out the night king is just a generic evil bad guy character who wants to kill all humans. I thought the whole idea was that GRRM doesn’t write flat good/evil characters and then the main threat throughout the whole thing is just a generic bad guy. That was a let down for me but the episode was epic although their use of the Dothraki made no sense and more main characters should have died.

Some point in the second half of this show it switched from one with very meticulous attention to detail into a show that nails the big moments but in order to do so writes in a lot of irrational/unexplained choices by the characters and plot holes.

GOT is one of the best shows ever but not even close to one of the best written shows ever. In the first 4 seasons it was both. Now the writing has dropped off dramatically but it’s made up for by amazing cinematography, set design, acting, score etc. No show has created as amazing moments as game of thrones but the writing has been down right sloppy the last few seasons.

  17. I thought it was very good as a battle , atmospheric music ect but all the main characters avoiding death is just so unlike g.o.t it's the sort of * i expect in lesser shows afraid to kill off the big names ,
ridiculous that the main ones in the crypt were smart enough to hide behind a wall while everybody else got slaughtered...:43:
when the nightking was making his way towards bran it was intriguing to guess what the * is gonna happen next but
The show is being rushed to an end so some Bizzare occurrence happens

  18. The main problem is probably that theres just too many characters and the story is too long to be done right on TV, for it to be done perfectly and in more depth there'd probably need to have been at least double if not treble the amount of episodes there will be but it's not possible since actors won't want to spend another 10 years making the show.

The Night King, Melisandre, Theon, Leanna, Ser Jorah, Viserion, Lord Beric, Edd Tollet and literally an entire army of Dothraki died in a middle of season episode.

I guess they’ve raised the bar a bit too high for themselves :56:

  20. we learned virtually nothing about the night king, melisandre and beric ,characters whos stories could of been expanded but for the rush to end the rest could have been killed off long ago and had no effect on proceedings.
the night king is the only one you could consider a main character maybe learn more about him in the new show they are talking about making
of course They have set the bar high with the amount of great characters killed off but it still had the substance to keep going without them
