I think if you have kids that support Celtic you should be bringing them over soon as, I've still never been to paradise, closest I got was a Hospital in Glasgow where I had to watch SSN in the waiting room (we still won so * it :smiley-laughing002: )

Having been to the friendlies in Dublin over the past few years bar Liverpool I'm still dying to make the trip but now I have no one to go with, all my mates are BPL plastics and no matter how much fathers and sons bond over football that relationship isn't always safe from disagreements :54:

Support dwindling in Scotland won't be far behind in my opinion. People aren't going to put up with over priced * football forever, especially without seeing any real investment in the squad.

Celtic has always had great support in Ireland, probably a lot more then every LOI fan base combined. I really don't know why people complain about our support here.

I'm from Dublin and obviously know a lot about the epl fans here. I find that a lot of them still have a soft spot for Celtic even if they support Liverpool or United and would buy Celtic Jerseys.

I love Celtic but they've always been more of a second team to me, Bohs always comes first. I don't think a Scottish football fan would accept an epl fan from Scotland, but in Ireland its different.

So many Irish fans go to Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool every week, ignoring football on their door step and yet some people on here still question Celtics Irish support. Its an absolute joke.

Fascinating post , the most interesting for some time, & the only one to prompt me to post a contribution.

I'm afraid that the only conclusion you can come to is that this is yet another reason why Celtic must join the EPL.

Groan, groan ,I hear you say, I know its not likely to happen any time soon, but what are we all waiting for, that defunct team to get back to SPL and give us a challenge again. I for one am not looking forward to facing a certain team again, they can go to * for all I care.

There are many things I dislike about the EPL no need to list them all, but we must face the facts, our historic connection to Ireland is not going to matter to many young Irish people growing up today.

If we were in the EPL & you told young people in Ireland that this team playing Man U in the EPL today were formed by Irish people, have great Irish traditions , fly the Tricolour at Celtic Park, then when we win the EPL ,as I'm sure we would they would go bananas.

    Some day!

You should read my posts again I made a very valid point.

Has no intention of taking his own son to the game but gladly boasts about taking 30+ youngsters.

    * fan or * dad.

Or just a bull-* attention seeker.

You are bang out of order GlasgowBhoy, bringing people's family into things is not * on, unless you are willing to do it face to face and not over the internet.

You don't even know why he brought over these young kids, ever considered he might be a social worker or something like that?

Have a * word with yourself.

    Explain how I am??

I have no problem with him boasting about bringing over 30+ youngsters but don't you think it's strange he 'has no intention' of bringing his own son over??

What kind of fan is so definite about these things? as Wrigley said it's a rite of passage.

    No one was boasting.

Merely explaining that the youngsters were bored.

But you seem a bit angry today, away and relax yourself.
