100% every company is doing it to increase profits. Its pure greed at the end of the day.

Had a large percent of companies posted losses, or record downturns in turnover etc, you could understand their need to increase costs.

But the * are posting record profits.
Every increase from these large companies is pure profit.
Then they have the cheek to refuse their staff a wage increase in line with inflation.

100% this and I dunno how people can still blame it on what’s going on in Ukraine right now. These big companies were just sitting waiting on an excuse to skyrocket the prices and what better excuse than gas and oil being mentioned in the invasion. Not to mention as I said before the change in fuel causing you to fill up that bit more often

The Government are happy to sit back whilst it unfolds as well. They are raking in money from the tax on fuel. Need to pay for Covid somehow mind you, or so keep being told anyway, and will continue to be told forever more.

I remember a few people at the start of the Ukraine invasion that said paying a bit more at the pump and for our shopping etc was a small price worth paying for helping Ukraine. I wonder if these people still feel this way? I think a lot seriously underestimated just how much of a financial strain this was going to put on the country.

If the labour leader had any balls he should nationalise the electricity companies that should sort out these greedy *'s and any other companies taking the * with their high prices .

The energy companies are making profits beyond belief.

Cancel direct debits ,, the energy companies can go into your bank account and take money from it if you have not paid in full.

Change your direct debit ,,,,,, to a standing order and pay that way...... they can not take any more out of your account as it is a standing order,

You can also block them sending emails to you, also texts from them and phone calls.
You pay the bill on your phone,,, not the energy companies

Ask for the bill to sent out by post as it will be they only way they can cotact you

Is their not discounts built in because your paying by direct debit ?

I mean any discount is chump change compared to these obscenely inflated fuel bills though, my sister in law told me to change my direct debit to a standing order also, pay what you've burnt on your meter it might mean higher bills in winter but pay the higher bills then

Two local garages by me are usually 10 to 15 pence more than those in the cities. At the moment they are only 3 pence more with less turn over. Go figure eh………
