He is the weakest link in the side in my opinion. Think he plays a large part in our defensive frailties. If so few of us trust him, why should the defenders in front of him?

He was great midweek against Rennes and basically earned us a point in that match, as it really looked like they were going to go on and score again. However, he had a shocker today. The one time he was called upon, he * up and didn't even dive for the ball.

It's lucky we have someone like Mulgrew in our team. Twice in two weeks now he's saved us.

With the exception of one shot, basically everything he saved was kicked directly at him, so I don't think he was anything special against Rennes.

Some of the comments on here are mind boggling.

Do you guys simply stare at forster waiting for the ball to go in and then say see I told you so.

The first ball he came for in the first half was excellent reacted to the fact none of our defenders were interested in going for the ball, HUGE dive for the ball and made it safe.

Ryan Jacks goal sould not have left his boot, he was off balance, the ball running away from him and two Celtic players in front of him (any of you ever tried to save those kind of shots, its the reason why freekick takers hit it over the wall, because you cannot see the ball till late) as a defender you either get the ball or get out the way end of.

Cha should not be playing a ball of that pace back to the goalie nor should he have really been passing it back to Forster. Cha wasn't even looking where he was passing FFS. Yet some find a way to lay 90% of the blame on his doorstep.

You are talking about a guy who was pushing Harper and Given for a place as a teenager, won league 1 with a record number of clean sheets, came to celtic and won the golden gloves against supposedly the best goalie in the UK whilst winning another record clean sheets, chapping the door for an England call up.

Our defenders currently refuse to attack the ball (stand around waiting for someone else to do it) point blank.

"He is the weakest link in the side in my opinion. Think he plays a large part in our defensive frailties. If so few of us trust him, why should the defenders in front of him?"

    This for instance.

Why should Forster trust a defence that has sold him out in the kilmarnock and rennes game. Why should he trust a club which refuses to pay outright for him when the manager clearly wants him. Why should he trust a support which happily names one individual as the weakest link in a team game.

Fact is most of his criticism seems to be 'english, tall,on loan'. You know what its called taking out your frustrations on the easiest target ?

    Predatory bullying.

Get a grip and stop trying to grind the guy into the dirt.

Lennon said the club would be nothing without the support, well the players would be nothing if it was only the 'support'.

I think he makes too many bad decisions. Going for a cross with his feet instead of his hands late on today is just an example.

But it doesn't matter that he scrambled for it only having just realised his denfence (everyone standing in the box) was standing doing next to nothing, waiting for someone else to step up?

He's not a keeper that will win us points on his own, which it's what we desperatly need.

Yeah we do not have a solid unit back there. I just think in terms of the GK, like other positions, we could do better. A new GK,CB and a target man is still needed in my opinion.

I used to play keeper (haha, hear me out) and I was taught to go for absolutely everything when the stakes are high. If a shot looks like it's going 2 yards wide go for it. If a ball is trickling in and you don't think you can make it - go for it.

So it's always annoying to see him giving up easily - not diving etc. Not saying he could've made either (the Cha OG, today's goal) but at least an attempt would promote the idea that he's desperate to stay between the sticks.

You could say we need 11 players who will win us points on their own by that logic.

And I thought he got us a point by keeping us in it at kilmarnock and rennes and got us another two by being the only player in the box willing to attack anything.

Right for a start your delusional if you think Forsters a good keeper, the guy cant even do the basics and for a guy thats 6ft7 he refuses to dive to at least try and save a shot. Now the reason we have a goal keeper is to stop the ball going in the back of then net he's our last line of defence if all else fails and he is not doing his job end of.

Nope but the fans expect him to at least try and make a save.

I dont recall Aberdeen having any clear cut or Goal threatening chances in the first half at all so to say he made a huge dramatic save is a bit OTT.

We aint talking about the defenders here. The fact is Forster is not even attempting to make a save as soon as it leaves a players boot and it means he may have to dive he is giving up.

Forster came out in the papers and took the blame the guy came way too far off his line. Now thats twice he has done that, 2 own goals in 2 games you have to look at the keepers positioning, Basic stuff.

Bullshit! your telling us that this guy was that good he was chapping on the door for England? No chance! if he was that good why did Newcaste put him out on loan ? If he had potential why did Newcaste want him out the door ? If he was that good why was there no EPL teams in for him ? How many clean sheets has he kept this season ? Point proven.

GOAL KEEPER - Prevents the goal from entering the net ? not talking about the defence here its a Fraser Forster thread.

Where did you get this * from ? Bullying ? what age are you ?

That makes no sense at all.:bbpd:

    Shaky again today.

That * up with about 5 minutes to go, if that, could have cost us big time.

He did look a bit shaky today but I agree with what a few have been saying, it's now as if folk are praying on him making a mistake so they can have a wee moan.

He is our number 1 and he deserves our support.
