    Agreed.

Ki was totally non-existent today...although to be fair, I never expected much more.

Apart fro the excellent goal, Commons looked slighlty sloppy in possession again.

James Forrest WILL NEVER be a TOP player for us. What ever he had last year it has gone. He's at an age now were he needs to be improvong. But this lad is going backwards. I've been there myself as an ex pro and the age he's at is the cruical stage of making the grade or not making it. I wish him the best for the future but he's another Simon Donnelly, Mark Burchill, etc.

Also, someone made a statement earlier that he had the potential of Aiden McGeady. What planet are u on. NEVER in Aiden's class.

I do see a bit of the simon donelly and burchill and miller in him if im being totally honest, while he was injured hes bulked up and he looks a second slower than he was and thats why he looks a bit off the pace.

A good preseason under his belt should get that back but he has been poor today, don't let an assist fool you into thinking he was good today and don't let browns goal fool you into believing brown was good today because he was * awful.

Projecting your own failures onto someone else much?

I doubt you've been there yourself tbh, unless you were playing every week for a team as good as Celtic.

He is a young lad and still learning the trade.
He had a bad game today but I fail to see the hopelessness
so self-righteously pointed out by some of his critics on here.

Imo, good things to come from the youngster. give the lad a break :shamrock:

Conor - Not my own failures. Played at a top level for 10 years. U can come back in 2 years times and tell me if I was right or wrong regarding Forrest. At present the lad offers the team nothing.

Another point todays performance showed how much we're missing Kayal & Ledley

We are supposed to have an interest in David Templeton, I personally would like to see Templeton at Parkhead. As for Forrest I like him. He is strong , forceful and pacy, and he set up the goal today for Brown's diving header ( Brown is good at them ). I prefer Forrest to McCourt actually.

So frustrating seeing him struggle knowing what he's produced for Celtic all through the youth setup and into the senior side. If he does start regularly producing the performances he was at the start of the season he is a definite first pick.

However, he hasn't kicked his own * in months.

Clearly short of confidence, probably wouldn't have been thrown in today if there weren't so many others out, generally poor but still set up the first goal & did ok first half v United, it'll come for him eventually.

I thought he was good today. Tried to break through behind the Kilmarnock back line a few times, and succeeded in doing so. Great header assist for a short guy.

What a bizarre time to start this thread.

He's been poor since his injury but today was the best he's played in ages. He was one of our better players.

sorry but i can't agree with you at all this is his first season in the first team and he had been out for a long time if you are an ex pro you should know this about how hard it is to get back match fitness and also get back up to speed with the game aswell

simon donnelly and mark burchill done good for a few seasons for celtic then went off the boil forrest has just finished his first season and it's been a mix bag because of the time out

one reason is he may be scared to have a turn or pace incase he does somthing again if so he needs to get that out of his head or hitting the ball hard and do his old injury again

am speaking as an ex pro who never played at a level like celtic but i can see myself the boy has talent just hope lennon can mold him into a good player

as being a ex pro you should know that more than anything having the right people and right club can mean everything in a player making it or breaking it, it's important he gets playing time if not then whats the point

Ok it was a friendly - Did he not get MOTM at the Emirates v Arsenal.
He`s still young and he`s better than Nial McGinn.

Last night it was Paddy McCourts fault now James forrest....why dont we start an Anton Rogan thread how it was his fault we never won the cup in the early 90`s .
