The way some people cant differentiate between being injured a lot and being * is hilarious. Forrest is a very good player, unfortunately he spends most of his time injured however that doesn't make him a * footballer.

If you're joking then fair enough, if you really believe that then you need to get off the super skunk.

If you think there was the slightest chance he reckons Tom Hanks is a better footballer than James Forrest then it's you that needs to get off the super skunk :smiley-laughing002:

    Nah I know that.

In this context though I think he was meaning as in "Give the boy/kid/wean a break"

Folk still see Forrest as a 19 year old breaking through.

McKay Steven is a direct replacement for him I think.

Neil Lennon bummed up Wee Jamie as the best thing since sliced bread, but wee shooders has failed to live up to expectations, due to a combination of recurring hamstring injuries and a failure to improve his game in any significant way, again probably due to his glass hamstrings denying him any meaningful training or match experimentation time to be able to do so.Speed merchants generally pay a high price for sudden bursts of pace and changes of direction, remember Craig Beattie ?

    I concur.

He needs to seize his chance if he starts tomorrow we have a lot of options and James needs to start weighing in with goals and assists.

He has quality and shouldn't we written off totally.

Celtic fans must be the harshest around when it comes to writing off homegrown talent especially players we have produced ourselves.

I've given him plenty of support since he broke into the first team.

However I've always seen him as being ridiculously overrated by quite alot of people.

I think the reason why people like myself still believe jamsie can fulfill his potential is that he hasn't had a consistent run of games in a seriosuly long time and game time makes footballers better. I already see jamsie having great qualities that will come to light with regular games and getting back up to speed, but he can also improve as a player. Theres a lot of player in him, but he needs to stay fit to fulfill that promise.

The only thing going for him is his acceleration, which is an essential for a winger.

Balde was another physical player, had pace and speed about him, but because he was a striker and had no technical ability, he was a complete write-off.

The only reason people share faith in him coming good in the future, is because he's from our academy. If he wasn't, he would have been off the same day Griffiths came in.

It's time to put this one to bed.

I imagine a lot of people feel the same affection for Darren Fletcher, that he was given a good run of games and he was doing well, especially after coming back from a long time away and that United fans hoped he would have perhaps retired after playing a backup role on the field, but LVG cut him loose because he was * in his system.

Forrest is fat as *, unfit and utter, utter *. League 2 level, with his brother.

    Gone in the Summer.

    What a pile of unadulterated * ^ :56:

Forrest is fat, unfit and League 2 level? Away and don't talk pish. If he wasn't so injury prone he'd be starting for us every week.

..And here's Forrest, he's taken on his man.. and he's been intercepted.

..And here's Forrest, he's taken on his man and he's heading towards goal.. and he's been intercepted.

...And here's Forrest, he's taken on his man and he's aiming for the byline, he's crossed it onto the Moon.

..And here's Forrest, he's taken on hi... Ohh, he's holding his leg, Martin. It doesn't look good.

Head down, sprint to the byline, chip ball in aimlessly.

Head down, arms out, sprint, cut in, shoot miles wide/over the bar.

We need players who offer more than that.

Agreed, he's not developed his game at all since breaking through what 4/5 years ago at this stage? Lenny teams have almost always seemed to be set for Forrest being in the best X1 "when he's fit", even a lot of guys on here seem to post Forrest starting and I just don't see why. We need to move past players like Forrest unfortunately, simply "he offers pace" is not good enough anymore and you feel players like him (Mulgrew and Stokes too) with such glaring limitations even at SPFL level are what's holding us back or what has held us back for a while. Even Sammy offered far more the majority of the time and pretty much sums up why at least in the big games someone like Sammy was excellent, his game had variety, he could hold up, pick intelligent passes or make intelligent runs and had a bit of magic in him. Forrest is predictable and extremely limited, he's a good squad option but that's all he'll ever be, that's all he should ever be.

I think he has a better delivery and better finishing than yous are giving him credit for. He needs consistent game time to improve, thats what its all down to. If he can actually stay fit he will prove yous wrong, I'm confident in that.
