Don't get why anyone would want rid of Forrest, even if he has fitness problems he is still a quality player to have in the squad who offers something different from any other player at Celtic the now, not counting GMS who himself has had his injury and consistency problems and yet to prove himself.

Forrest fully fit is a top drawer player who cab perform for us in Europe, hopefully we can see the best of him again but even if he can't sustain first team action in the long term he is a * off a good squad player.

It's a shame for the boy, injuries seem to have ruined his career. Doubt he'll ever achieve his full potential.

I wouldn't write him off just yet. Yes it has been stop start but a run of games can make the world of difference. Look at Brown for reference, he had a good few years of injury troubles and he seems to have gotten over them, knock wood.

He plays when he feels like it and then he'll come up with an excuse to have a few paid weeks holiday, until he decides when he can be arsed again.

    Gone in January 2016. :bbpd:

    IiIt's Charlie ,
So you are a mind reader . Don't you remember Michael Owens and other players having continuous injuries as well.

He plays once in a blue moon, when he does, he's lucky to come off the park without something up. The type of player he is, he is a tease with his injury record. When he plays, he plays and that's what gets him injured. I imagine if Ronny fixed his composure and calmed him down a bit, he would be half the player he shows signs he could be and lack of natural fitness prevents him from being fluid and consistent.

What's the point, when we could let him go and start over with this Michael Duffy kid, or a Joe Thompson?

How did he just walk into the team the other day. Honestly the man's *, all he has is an exceptional burst of acceleration and is pacey. Absolutely no end product whatsoever.

if he's playing just because Ronny wants pace then hopefully he goes with GMS on Wednesday!

To be quite honest with you, after you telling me that he's more technically gifted than GMS. I think I'll just disregard any opinion you have on the matter :smiley-laughing002:

I have lost patience with the boy.

Probably cause I seen him and Matthews coming out of Nando's one night and he looked like a fud.

He's clearly a good footballer and GMS hasn't done anything to suggest he's a better player than Forrest in my opinion. Forrest, when fit, is a very important player for us. I think this is sort of a last chance saloon now for James. If he ends up sidelined again for another lengthy period during the rest of this season, I'll lose my patience.

He's an important player when he's fit. When he gets a run of games together he's a very effective player for us. However, he's always * injured.

If James Forrest didn't have so many injuries, he'd have probably been sold to an English side for £6-8m by now.

It's his last chance saloon, in my eyes, because I'm still hoping he can get over thesde injures and stay fit for a lengthy period.. starting now.

I agree he is either injured or far to inconsistent,if anyone came in with an offer he should be sold

Not progressed the way he should/could have. But that doesn't make him a bad player. I think he could be a really big player for Deila if he can maintain fitness, but there will always be that question mark over him.

I still believe there is a player in there.

I've never seen a player scuff a shot so often in my life. He must hit the target about 1/10 shots. And his crosses are even worse.

If we get any sort of money for him I'd let him go. I think we'll find that Gary will keep him out the team whether he's fit or not anyway.
