Most if not all the names above demanded a move , I have not heard of Forrest demanding a move . I think when players demand a move , it is possible to do as what Deila has done with VVD and postpone the move. We cannot stop it .
Brown has been more valuable to us than any of the above , but he has pledged his future to Celtic and won't be leaving in the short or medium term .

He isn't the first relatively young player to go through a nightmare period of injuries , Michael Owen , is one I remember, and Liverpool and their fans stood by him. It looks as if Celtic will stand by Forrest and give him the time and help he needs .

so English clubs will only bid for our players if they demand a move? Nonsense. If Forrest had been putting in the level of performances that Wanyama and Forster had , then he would have been subject to interest and bids from big EPL clubs .

    This..

Hate this talk that because people believe the epl aren't falling over him then he's *, no, that's *..

He was rated a couple of times in the 100 ones to watch and I remember Harry redknapp raving about him and (reportedly) wanting him at spurs..

Yes he's had injuries and problems but look no further than craig Gordon to see that quality is worth persisting with delicately, if need be..

Forrest is a genuine threat with quality that we often lack, one of our best players when in the side..

That is not what i said at all . I was responding to the poster that claimed that Forrest has been our best player whenever he has played . If that was the case , given his age , he would have been subject to interest from England.

And I just told you the interest of 1 manager in the epl. Who's to say there wasn't plenty more?

It isn't the be all and end all anyway as you should know..

So by your reasoning, broony is *?

Wow , you really aren't getting it are you ? I never said Forrest was " * " because he doesn't get interest from England , I just said the fact that there were no bids from England means he has not been " our best player , everytime he played " as the poster i was debating with had suggested . Therefore , my reasoning doesn't suggest Broony is " * " becaue he hasn't left for England. Browns game has improved massively in the last season and a half and i wouldn't be suprised if he were to interest someone down south now .

Also Redknapp wasnt "raving " about Forrest like you suggested . I remember watching the press conference and he said Forrest was a good young player and one we are looking at (Tottenham) . They never followed up their interest so he can't have been that impressed , or " raving " as you put it .

You need to stop exaggerating . I said Forrest has never been our best player , i never said he was * . And Redknapp wasn't "raving" about anybody . Just speak in plain terms .

Such ashame injuries have held him back big time, if he's not confident in his legs lasting a game then can't see him having a future here. If he goes can't see it being more than 2Mil either, it's a big gamble for anyone to taken him.

Sounds much the same to me, who gives a * whether there watching his impressive form or not? Like they come up for all our bread and butter's anyway..

So I was right about redknapp and the interest which I originally pointed out, cheers..

No you seem to exaggerate when it suits your agenda and downplay when it suits your agenda .

Bottom line is that Forrest isn't , and has never been our best player .

Our "best players " in the time that Forrest has been here have since moved down south .

Those were my two points , and are pretty hard to argue with .

Exaggerate or say what I believe is right, just because it doesn't toe your line..

I personally said 'one of our best players', when playing. I think he's proved he has plenty of technical ability and offers us something we don't have, that for me is well worth persevering with..

He doesn't have plenty of technical ability at all . He is strong in some areas ( dribbling , touch , speed, awareness ) but is masively lacking in others ( final ball , shooting , finishing .) . He is at his best when he is right out wide , on the touchline . When he gets the ball he should be heading for the byline and hanging a cross up ( his crosses are hit and miss but he can deliver ) . As soon as he starts cutting infield , he either shoots over the bar , or panics and runs into trouble . He can be a player for us but he has a lot to improve on .

That's a fair post although we'll have to agree to disagree on his technical ability as I believe your underrating it.
He can deffo pick a pass and link up inside or beat a man and put in a good delivery on the outside. The critiscm with his shooting/finishing is consistency as I can think of hibs and hearts where he's showed lovely technique to finish and composure as well as big game temperament to take a penalty with aplomb against Ajax the same year he was composed enough to get us there in the last minute..
For me, only injury will hold him back as I really rate him..

In no way have I or have I seen anyone claim him to be the finished article as he's still young enough to get much better..

He's a good dribbler and can definitely beat a player or two. But his finishing is laughable at times, his crossing is poor and his left foot is *.

If GMS performs well and Forrest spends as much time on the treatment table as he does on the pitch then we should sell him.

People forget how good he was when he burst on to the scene ,I remember watching him and thinking he is going to be a top top player I feel the injuries are now having a phsycological affect on him and it's holding him back and may even be causing a reoccurrence by trying to protect the area .

Said it plenty times but i wish he'd get fit, when he's 100% he's not just good in Scotland but Europe as well, he has his faults, mainly injury but nobody else at the club has the ability to beat a man like he does. Deila's doing the right thing by not overusing him but you've always got that feeling he'll break down in a few weeks, it's when not if.

The complaints are also justified his record is abysmal for such a young player, and how can he improve if he can't make the team. Hopefully he comes back stronger next year but i don't think it's the first time I've said that either.
