Full pre-season and he'll be flying.

Did you notice when we broke (when Armstrong played the wrong ball to Griffiths) Forrest sprinted past GMS and left him for dead.

Unlucky tonight, important player for us next year.

 

How did he not play well then? Because the ball bobbled and he missed a sitter? Because he's no a tough tackling broony on the pitch?

Nutmegging your man, sitting him on his * and beating him with ease all night and being our biggest threat going forward, is being our best attacker, in my book anyway..

 

Hardly hopeless but his game still needs some ironing out , he is just getting to match sharpness now as you see him blowing past defenders again. His final ball does need work as does his defensive play and concentration. If we can keep him fit he can become a major asset for us once again.

His passing and intelligence on the park is non-existant - hence why Griffiths was going bezerk when he should have been played in.

The boy has speed and a decent drop of the shoulder - other than that? Well.........

That is what I said, who else was it, the lauded GMS?

His intelligence on the park is fine to me, always in good positions, runs in to space etc. No one is saying he is the finished article, far from it but he played well tonight and has been playing quite well for a while now. His finishing and final ball are hit and miss like most wingers, more game time, more good in shooders game..

Griff has no right to be moaning at anyone tonight, can't trap a ball then shut your puss..

 

Eveyone see players differently,imagine this forum years gone by, Jinky he isn't big enough,holds on to the ball,greedy so n so,Dalglish why doesn't he track back,Paul McStay making his debut,this laddie is never celtic class.Forrest imo is a good player for this celtic team would you rather have tonev wakaso or dirk?Forrest every day of the week for me

My first thought when he missed that sitter was that he was in for a peltering on here.. It's not as bad as I thought though.. so far :smiley-laughing002:

 

GMS may have stayed in the house and not a word about it. Forrest plays well and gets slated. This place..

His passing/crossing "attributes" are far worse than "hit and miss". Like I say, any one with a decent bit of intelligence (especially a winger) takes one look up and sees Griff in an almost empty space - pass the ball........most certain goal.

Griff can't trap a ball? Aye, ok........

None of our front four are the finished article or clinical enough.

GMS, Forrest, Johansen & Griffiths can all be wasteful when break at speed, this is a big part of our game and we need to get sharper.

Make or break season for James next season. If he can stay injury free with a full pre-season...

They all do it, Armstrong did, it, griff did it, commons does it all the time, guidetti has done it with 3/4 on ones, have they all not got game intelligence?

Have you missed the amount of times the technician griff, let's the ball roll under his studs (if he has any)? He only did it again, tonight. Woeful..
