His first half performance last night was as bad as it gets.

Yes he scored in the second half but lets not forget this was StMirren we were playing ,the worst team in the whole league.

I think last night was a test on who Ronny can trust to do jobs ,Forrest is scrapping by, but Stokes is *.

If GMS played last night and had an identical game as Jamesy did touch for touch the same men who are wrongly slating Forrest would still be walking around with hard ons.

You would have a hard on for them then you little troll:bbpd:

He was * apart from the goal but the goal was vital and that is what is required of him. I think he is just starting to build up a bit of momentum , I see improvement(defensively)and a bit more work ethic from him.

I do my own thinking and call it how i see it. I dont slate a man who played a massive part in us winning a tricky away tie. Some people jump on the bandwagon and slate a man because others are doing this. Give the man some credit when it is due.

As for the troll accusation tout me out to a moderator then and let them decide. I have been posting here for 6 years and have never received a warning never mind a ban. Pointing out that people are being unfair to one of our players is not trolling.

At the time that criticism was entirely justified. Delia has said himself in the last few days that it was a bad start. However the key point is that I am now praising him because we are doing well. James Forrest is not getting the same courtesy from his haters. He is getting slated no matter what. I have even detected a little bit of resentment that he scored last night and in the cup final. Some people just want to foam at the mouth and have a scapegoat. For some reason Forrest has assumed this role.

So it was ok for you to criticise Ronny for under performing , yet not allowed for others to criticise any player for the same thing , ok.

I think you are crazy if you think Celtic supporters resent Forrest scoring for Celtic.

He is not under performing though. He turned the cup final and helped us win a tricky away tie last night and he is still getting abuse.

He didn't turn the cup final, we were never in danger of losing it, Forrest just scored the second goal. Like last night he got the goal, but he didn't have a good game. He is improving slightly though and if he can do that while chipping in with the odd goal I'm happy for him to come on when GMS is tired.

Some people just dont want to see. 1 goal up in a cup final is never comfortable mo chara. The whole point of the game is to put the ball into the net more times than the other team. It really is a simple game. If one of our players is scoring these goals that help us win games then he should get credit for this rather than slated. Also i rate GMS and i wanted us to sign him for years and i have been very impressed by him so far but at the moment Forrest deserves that spot.

On what basis? GMS has been playing better in his a round game and is scoring as well. Got the opener against Utd.

Forrest is the better player, but GMS has been in better form, so he deserves that spot more imo. If forrest can get back to his best then i would much rather him playing there, but it's like Ronny says, he need to trust his body more. Think he's scared of picking up another injury and it's really affecting his performances

Forrest was the game winner yesterday, got the goal and won the penalty in a very flat game.

How is Forrest the better player?

Previously, we rarely saw the guy because he was injured most of the time and when he did play he was, at best, very hit and miss. He's never really done much to show he is better than GMS.

I think he is, plus where Forests had injuries GMS has had question marks over his fitness and had Injuries as well. Forrest done enough during his first season to prove he's the better player imo

For not have having a good shot on him, he's scoring some important goals. I have heard this limited used to describe him before. He's clearly a game changing player who can produce something our other players are struggling to do so. He has facets which he can add to his game with playing and coaching. I'd say he's one of our least limited players.

He was a lucky boy to still be on the park to change the game. If he had been taken off at any point before, nobody could have argued with it. Just because someone has scored and won a penalty, doesn't automaically mean he had a good game. His overall performance last night was poor, I don't think that could be argued about.
