Only a mtter of time before teams double up! :54:

Wonder how Lenny will solve that.

Its clear that he can handle the expectation, in his interview after the match he said every time I got the ball the crowd were willing me forward and it made more detrimined to go pst players. Or something along those lines.

In fairness, the original poster made it pretty explicit how he was comparing them - in terms of stature, speed & style of play. They are definitely of similar stature and reasonably similar style of play, and they are both fast. He didn't say anything about Forrest being as good, or potentially as good, or will he score as many goals etc.

In the same way that if I mention, moustache-wise, that Joey Barton resembles Oswald Mosely, I am not suggesting he is a fascist intellectual and former member of parliament. :56:

i agree mate, at the same age bellamy was a hothead and his game suffered for it, a bit like kyle laughatme, but with football skills, young forrest is showing great potential and a regular place in the team can only make him better, but its still too early to get carried away

Aye, you've got it spot on. I have said countless times already that i'm not doing a "Is Forrest as good as Bellamy?" comparison. It's more a what attributes do they both share comparison. I have in no way came out and blatantly said "Forrest is as good as Bellamy".

difference with when mcgeady was comin through nd now is that we have more players who can hurt teams, if the double up on forrest then what are they gonna do about juarez, kayal, broonie, ledley, paddy mccourt etc...

That's what i'm thinking. Teams will know that doubling up on Forrest will leave them exposed to the quality of other players in the team. They really are in a lose lose situation.
