It's one of the best films I've seen. It sort of looks like a kids film but it really isn't. Plenty of graphic violence.

City of * is Brazilian gang type film, superb..

  5. Suggest some Swiss films! I don't think I've seen any, would be interesting to see.

  9. I've seen the American remake of Funny Games which was good, and I believe was originally Swiss.

It's meant to be a shot-for-shot remake so maybe that's one?

    Edit - no sorry it's Austrian :smiley-laughing002:

  10. Just downloaded Switchbalde Romance so goni watch that the now. Then al check out that Rammbock film. Thats ma night sorted :celt_2: :celt_2: :celt_2:

  11. Watched Rammbock, it was decent. The copy i watched was cheesily dubbed so that made it seem worse than what it was, so that put me off. Need to see if a can find a copy thats just subtitles

Watched most of Pedro Almodovars movies. Spanish film director. His stories are great and very quirky. He started Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardon on the road to fame. But for me the French films are the best. Watch Meserine. 2 part movie and true story, the guy was a * lunatic bank robber with no respect for authority.

A really excellent movie, watched that about 5 years ago.

  15. Two documentary films I think definitely worth watching, called The Act of Killing (2012) The Look of Silence (2014). They're both about the communist purges in Indonesia during the 60s. It's chilling and raw, and quite simply they're both masterpieces. The first film focuses on some of the leaders in the present day, and in a way befriends them (in a weird way) as he gets to know them. In the second film we follow a brother of one of the people who got killed, visiting the people who killed his brother, sometimes under some sort of guise protect his safety.

    Definitely worth watching.

  17. As has been mentioned, Pan's Labyrinth is great, Delicatessen is superb, but the best foreign language film for me is Cinema Paradiso. Absolutely superb film.
