The casuals/hooligans(same * difference) in this country always just seem to stand about, sorry jump about on the spot holding there arms in the sky then chase each other up and down the street until the police come(3 of them) then they all run away and make each other out to be nuts,A young team from Possil or my bit would leave them chibbed up in their stupid wee filas.Hate them, soft as *.

it was never about the clothes or the violence (that just came with the territory),it was about getting behind the team and taking * of no one and making sure the clubs colours were respected(maybe feared) and letting other clubs fans know when we come to town show respect or expect none in return, but then the football scene in the north of Ireland was all one way, Cliftonville v the rest,
    Cliftonville PCS,=Plain Clothes Skinheads.
it was more fun than anything most of the time, even in the nasty days, like away to portadown when there was a full scale riot going on everywhere, pitch and all and there was only 3/4 hundred of us against a good size home support and the RUC,we held our own and still laugh at the memories.
hooligans= NO,casuals=maybe we wanted to be like a firm, but we were one against many so never really worked out that way in the end.

ive read a good few casual books, celtics, hibs, aberdeens, leeds, man u,tottenham, westham. and a few more and from the english side they seem never to talk about when the get turned over. but in john o'kanes celtic soccer crew. then he tells it how it is which was a really good read ive always likes stone island gear and ive really started to look at the 80s casual clothes the fila roll necks and zippers but i hate these people you see at c.p dressed as low there a hooligan but are about 12-14 who whould run at the sound of a fart

anywae dont no why a had this we rant lol

Indeed, the book about CSC seems to be very honest account. I thought it was a very interesting read and I liked the book (although I read on this forum that other members disagree).

Never heard about the CSC one,but i read Soul Crew,30 years of hurt and Cass Pennants book and the impression i got was that they area bunch of fat English losers, who have gained a legendary status among impressionable young wannabes.
30 years of hurt was a history of the English hooligan, and starts off with Scottish fans * in the trafalgar square fountain,* in a womans bag,and wrecking Wembley-this apparently justifies everything English thugs done in the next 30 years.
Join the local YT if you want real riots, machetes bats knives all that good stuff and please kill each other if thats what your into, but remember it dosent make you cool, especially if youre past 20.

That's just lookin for glory though, saying that they never got wacked in the books. Almost every group has been done at some point. It's a fact. Some just want to make out theyre the best to sell the most books or dvd's or whatever. There is quite a bit of * in the books like.

Maybe it could have been dressed up. But at the end of the day. I'd imagine it's him at face value. His way of doing things.

Having supported us through that whole casual period the Celtic version of it was regarded as something of a complete joke.
There wasn't that many of them and they weren't welcome in the Jungle.
Remember a couple of embarrassing espisodes at Easter Rd round the 1980s.
One involved a CS gas cannister being thrown.
Guy did jail time for that.
And another bizarre melee at a Reserve Cup Final.
And oh, one big bust up at a reserve game at ibrox.

    :celt_2:

I still see the odd one or two middle age casual veterans from the 80s at Celtic Park.

Book depository is normally the cheapest place, if Domo1888 cannot find his copy.
