    Is this seriously going to happen?

    You know the way to show a message would be for fans to go and stand outside and chuck the money they would have paid watching the team into these food banks. The tabloids would be all over it.

    I think it is a really good idea and hopefully it is well supported

    I'm collecting for this as we speak.

    A dreadful set of circumstances that these types of charity drives are required, but needs must. I'll be donating as much as possible.

    And, can people SERIOUSLY not keep all other chat to * out of this thread? :47::47:

    100% I'll be donating. If anyone from the North side of the city / Maryhill area has stuff they'd like to donate but can't make it along PM me and I'll take it for you.

    If those organising the collection need transport to get the donations to a set location after the match I'm happy to offer the use of my car. There's also a possibility that I can get a large Mercedes transit van with driver if needed, but would need to know in advance.

    Green Brigade & Celtic FC Foundation - Foodbank Collection

    On Saturday the 21st of December, before we play Hearts at Celtic Park, the Green Brigade and Celtic FC Foundation have organised a collection for the local foodbank in the Calton Parkhead Parish Church on Helenvale Street. It's a sad state of affairs that such places exist in 2013 but the least we can do is try and help struggling families over the festive period.
    There was a similar collection in the Maryhill area before we played Partick Thistle and it was really succesful so we hope this one can be just as fruitful. Please give generously. All the details are on the poster below.

    Bought some selection box's from Tesco as they were only £1 each.

    A lot of the people getting these donations are actually children so it's nice to keep that in mind when bringing stuff a long.

    Thinking that I could have spent only a quid to make some less fortunate child smile on Christmas day is what drives you to do this kind of thing.

    Everyone should be making he effort for this. Be ot from food to toys. Even if use arent going to the game hand the stuff in and head to the pub. Every little bit makes a difference.
