I see Spurs are looking at Sandro IRL
    Aston Villa signed Delph IRL
    Sunderland signed El Mohammady IRL

I have all those players, maybe its time for a career change! :icon_mrgreen:

Those new injuries are just daft tbh

And what. Nobody knows Delph, Dempsey ?

I wasnt claiming anything from mentioning them 3 players, I was just saying players in fm that have now got big deals.

I know you were just saying that.

Most people heard of Delph on here didnt rate Delph that much to sign him until I raved on about him for weeks on end.

El Mohammady was another I raved on about months ago, nobody else, and is coming to the EPL with high expectations IRL

I'm just saying that 3 players that I recommended highly constantly have gotten/about to get very big breaks which is different to what you are saying.

For the record Delph has been one of the highest rated youngsters in England for a couple of years now. Sky sports did a scout report on him before FM09 even came out.

I know exactly how highly rated Delph was etc but maybe you should do a search of Delph in this thread.

People werent signing him or raving on about him, they were going after other players instead. Thats what I'm saying, jeeez!!

You can get better young midfielders in the game than him thats why.

I get what you mean with El Mohammady and Sandro but the Delph one is the same is what i said .

In my game, I'm struggling to find a player thats obviously better than Delph.

Hamsik, Schneirderlin & Gourcuff are the only 3 that I see and 2 of them cost €€€ at any stage of the game

I went from quadruple winners (SPL, SC, LC & Europa League) to just SPL & UCL Qtr Finals this season.

So I did some squad trimming...

    Victor Obinna - €7.5m (Free)
    5* Potential Regen FB - €5M + 50% (€3M)
    Andrew Taylor - €1.5M (€2.5m)
    Bakary Soumare - €7.5m (€5.25m)
Fernando Forestieri - €15M (€8.5m) Only had him 6 months!
    4* Regen CM - €5m + 50% (€30k)

Signing that Bilyaletinov on a free (€300k compo), he'll arrive in december though.

    Plus a few reserves out

Grand Total of €42.5m worth of players out of Hibs and I still have a very very strong first team squad! Once I get the remainder of the fringe players I dont want or are unsettled out, I'll poach some players with potential to give my new look squad some depth.

Hopefully I wont get another rush of blood to the head and start buying anything that moves, FFS

Oh, Scotland just won the 2015 u20 World Cup

Can I ask a random question:

I'm very much in the "buy up loads of youngsters and train them" mode of thinking. It's just in the Bundesliga there is only 1 "reserve" league - the Under 19's. After this they basically languish in my reserves (which has no competitive league)...

So on to loaning folk out - I only have the German league running and a few going in the background - if I loaned a 18-19-20 year old out to a Swiss feeder club - would he get games, and would he develop faster than simply training with me. Bearing in mind I have good facilities and a good set of coaches.

The question really is does football manager consider them to be getting games in the frsit team? The Swiss league isn't running by the way so looking at their squad it looks like they arent playing matches....

Players on loan developing faster than being in the reserves depends on

    Coaching
    Facilities
    Getting Games
Standard of Football in that league

The most important factors in a loan is he getting games and is he in a league that will test him otherwise they should stay at your club as training and facilities could easily be covered by you but their training and facilities at the loan club should be of a decent standard as it all matters.

I'm currently buying cheap players with potential for my reserve squad. I'm going to rely on developing them rather than spend * loads on a complete player

I doubt I can find a decent club to be my feeder, which will have better/same facilities coaches and yet my player will get games :(

On the plus side I've trimmed my under 19's to a squad of 20 or so who are 90% german and there are 5 or 6 of them who have potential of 6 stars or so... Hoping one day to have a first 11 who can challenge in the Bundesliga with around 7 or 8 of the first 11 being German. I'll likely have 2 or 3 MArquinhos world-class types to supplement them....

Currently every summer I spend a huge sum on 1 wonder-player (Mathieu first season, then Marquinhos, Douglas Costa, Leo, Asenjo), if I'm lucky I'll pcik up someone on free (I've got Wijnaldum and Saivet now as backup although Saivet is exceeding all expectations).

The rest of my budget (around 25%) goes on buying top class German youngsters.
