Ok guys I'm going to start a new game once I've updated it, in the last one I wasted most of my budget - as Celtic boss - on K.Doyle and he pretty much flopped. Any good suggestions on a nice cheap striker who'll do the business?

 

Altidore is shot hot and cost 5mill. Sandazza is decent and cost 1mill and Gary Glen is awsome in my game he costs 1mill and a bit.

3rd in La Liga after 5 games. 3 points behind the leaders. No strikers left they are all injured.

 

I'll get my scouts to have a look at all of them when I set my game up then, I might actually take the pre-season friendlies this time instead of leaving it to Pendrey.

I was Celtic for 2 seasons and then knocked backed a few Prem jobs before joining Getafe! They just avoided relegation last season but I thought they had a decent squad. Going well so far. Gary Glen top scorer.

 

I decided to go Wednesday again (since my old game got deleted).

Just won my first game against Coventry 2-0

 

What's La Liga like? I've never actually done it, I always start Celtic or a low English team and end up at Celtic or an EPL team, never been offered the Barca or Real job so never been tempted.

 

Well I drew 2-2 with Seville in the first game, won 3-2 against Ath Madrid in the second, and beat Villareal 3-2 in the third so as you can see the games seem pretty exciting. The only bad thing is you can only register 25 players to play in the league so my younger players are not getting any 1st experience.

Biggest job i got considered for was Man United, but I took this before they made a desicion.

 

Sounds high scoring, just like La Liga in real life, hmm may start out with someone like Real Betis or Sevilla just to give something different a go.

 

Aye you should, but the 25 player thing is *. My 4 strikers are injured so I can't bring anyone in. I need to play midfielders upfront. :*:

I'll keep that in mind when I sign some players CE, get a few players who can play multi positions just in case, in the Sutton mould.

 

well i thought i had loaded the italian,spanish and english leagues, and i had!! but i still cant bid for that jankovic chappie!

 

How do I remove all traces of football manager? Is a straight uninstall good enough or do I need to go hunting for hidden folders?

I saw you were considering Betis - i would recommend them. See if you can do any better than i did

 

best just trying the normal uninstall, but then goto the c drive\programe files\ and delete the sports interactive folder.... and make sure there isn't a folder in the c\user\appdata folder lol

if in doubt, just find yersel a copy of your uninstaller, a great wee programe

How well did you do with them?

 

Well i'm performing miracles in my Nottm Forest game, top of the CC Championship by 9 points (15 games played I think) 4th rnd FA cup 3rd rnd LC with some money in the bag as well my top players -

Also just picked up Fabian Delph from leeds for £1.2 million, EPL here we come.

One question though, I haven't patched it from the original install, and the injuries I get are phenomenal currently I have 5 injured players, long term I usually never have less than 5 injured 1st team players. Does patching the game help the injury 'bug' and would I have to start anew to see the effects of any patch?

 

You need to start a new game to use the new patch I am pretty sure. I don't think it helps the injury bug, maybe a little but my players get injured at an almighty rate as I said. 4 strikers all injured. Only played 5 games!
