    Aye ok.

Sean is a handwringer now because I value our right to sing our songs over a few flares or smoke bombs.

I'm just trying to look at the big picture here. Our job trying to get the act repealed is hard enough without factoring pyrotechnics into the argument.

Personally I think flares and smoke look cool as * but is hindering the the compelling argument put forward by the likes of Jeanette and Paul.

how dangerous even are flares in practise? I never hear of anything going wrong, not saying that makes them sense but kinda wondered what the fuss is over

I was at a St Pauli game in the Autumn, a massive flare/smoke bomb was let off at the start of the 2nd half in the end I was standing in, even the older fans there just laughed at it all and reacted to it very differently to the hysteria we see any time one wee one goes off in Scotland.

Ok it's more of a cultural thing in German football I accept but cannot help thinking this whole thing is way out of proportion with our own supporters and fan groups jumping on a rolling bandwagon of fake outrage..

I have little problem with them at all, I'm fact when the green white and gold smoke bombs went off in the Broomloan Stand that time I thought it looked * excellent and wound those * up far more than some song about Bobby Sands

I'm not against or for flares in our support and in general in the game - its pretty much each to our own in our match day experience. From my experience I have been in company of flares and it makes the environment a euphoria which proceeds into a few rebels being chanted.

I fully comprehend the health and safety characteristics of it as our disabled supporters are subject to hazard if they are in the middle of the surroundings.

It shouldn't be a case of illegality or legal issue, plus a reputation issue that the Club is stating, pyrotechnics should be a option of match day experience (if some are going to take some with them). Obviously this requires some common sense when using them.

I don't agree with the Clubs statements especially with banning a handful of our supporters for 'indefinitely' its claimed, pathetic in my opinion.

There needs to be designated area or something similar for those who use them so the conflict between people who are in hazard of the environment are not caught up on it.

Other Leagues throughout Europe are so advanced due to welcoming better match day experience, pyro shouldn't be illegal.

Personally, I'm indifferent to flares at the game. To me they don't add anything to the atmosphere; nor do they detract anything. But that's irrelevant to the matter.

Regardless of your opinion on them, continuing to let off flares, knowing it will financially impact our club is just senseless in my opinion.

If you feel aggrieved at the current rules and believe they are overstating the possible health & safety consequences then organise a group with like-minded people and go about it in a rational way to challenge those rules.

Aren't they just a section within the GB who also partake in the graffiting and such outside of the stadium? If you look at SMV videos you'll find Green Brigade stickers, if you look at their graffiti there is constant references to stand 111 and the north curve. The two are intrinsically linked.

This was the incident i remembered. There was also a match between villa and Birmingham where the Birmingham fans threw a flare into the villa support at the end of the game. But i don't think there's too many incidents. * knows on thr continent, where most flare activity occurs

They sit next to each other at Celtic Park but are two completely seperate groups.

The SMV are the Bhoys who stand at the opposite end of the stadium to 111.

Pyro at matches is not confined to the Green Brigade or the Bhoys.

So they're right next to the Green Brigade, reference the Green Brigade in their graffiti and stickers, but are completely separate groups?

Or they're either an off-shoot of the Green Brigade now sitting in a different section?

To be honest I don't really care either way, I hardly think the SMV are sat there giggling in their corner thinking they've got away with it because it was them and not the Green Brigade. I'd hazard a guess and say they two groups are linked, mainly because of what I see from the SMV points all evidence to the two groups being linked.

They were a part of 111, some of them GB members, a difference of opinion last season and they moved out of the section and eventually ended up in 442.
