There's probably 100 other ways Celtic * money away before flares even become an issue.
    Laweells salary
    Deilas salary
    Ambroses salary
    Stokes' salary
4 examples of Celtic * millions of pounds of our money away every year..
And you're bothered by a few grands fines for flares?

    * the media btw for Hyping this nonsense up to these levels of hysterical geebaggery proportions

Not among them though and planned, bit of a difference. I would also imagine the kids parents/guardians will also have been asked if they do suffer from respiratory problems as well :icon_mrgreen::86:

I heard Hiroshima was actually someone letting off a flare in the city centre.

Just watching FAC submitting their petition to The Public Petition Committee asking for a review of the act and someone brought up the point of the scenes at Stranraer not helping their cause.

    I have to agree.

At a time when we should be fighting tooth and nail to preserve our right to express our politics and heritage, lighting these flares are actually hindering the great work FAC are doing to try and get this draconian act repealed.

We don't need the adverse publicity these flares are getting us. It's not a fight worth fighting.

Regardless of your opinion on flares, we do get disproportionately criticised for their use. Clubs all over Europe use them week in week out on a huge scale and nothing is said or done. Same in Scotland. This is from Dundee UTD v Stranraer last year:

    The punishment? None.
The media fall out? Virtually none.

It's a good point. I had no idea about this I must admit yet it looks worse than anything we done the other day.

Go into the Celtic Supporters thread and watch FAC submit their petition. Listen especially to Kenny MacAskill and you might start to realise why we are the ones who are disproportionately targeted.

Some * needs to be highlighting that Dundee United stuff a bit more, make it more well known as I knew absolutely nothing about it.

It's a disgrace to be honest, and one of the more glaring examples of how biased the media in this country can be.

With the amount of legit information easily available online in the form of websites and podcasts there really is no excuse for it these days.

I watched Reporting Scotland last night, and was astonished by the deliberatly biased report on flares at the recent cup game. NO mention was made of the weekly bile and bigotry that eminates from Sevco fans - sectarian singing?? NO action has been taken despite it continuing.

It's pretty clear that BBC Scotland Sports is now in the control of the Orange Brigade.

I hope the club will NOT accept this situation.

Far from raise the issue it seems as though the club are using it as an excuse to further their agenda against a certain section of our support.
