    I'm more concerned about this...

Sectarian chanting ffs. I wish someone from the club would set them right about this *. They wont though, they probably * agree.

This was always going to happen though as soon as the huns got pulled up for ACTUAL sectarian *.

"What was supposed to be an enjoyable event for all was tarnished by a group of individuals who were intent on singing sectarian songs as well as letting off smoke bombs and pyrotechnics within the crowd."

Name one of these songs then ya * robot!

    Oh - you can't - there wasn't even one.

    * Ayrshire....go figure.

Scratching my head at this. I watched the game last night, did not hear any "sectarian chants" are they confusing "political" with "sectarian"?

I remember when in college doing my HNC community development, we had to do a role play about sectarianism, it was unreal the amount of people that thought saying "*" or "hun" is sectarian.

To me, that is trivializing true sectarianism.

TBH it is a subject I am fairly neutral on. From your truncated list of a million reasons the health ones are the only ones I would really give much credence to. I think on balance they probably shouldn't set them off but I do find it funny how bothered some people seem to get by them. Especially when they start all this "reputation" *.

Hope they produce a list of the sectarian songs or chants that we used.

At the recent Scotland v Poland game there must have been over THIRTY flares set off during that match. I don`t seem to recall a fuss being made in the press about that (?).

And those people * their pants about a smoke bomb, they need to get a grip.

As for the 'sectarian chanting' it will be interesting to see what comes of any report or complaint about that. Regardless, I will never understand the mentality of any Celtic fan who seeks to do anything to damage the reputation of our club.

I have a cousin who has asthma, he is bothered by them because they have a direct impact on his health.

Why should he have to suffer because of a minority that know it is banned and know it affects people with certain health conditions?

I've not seen a good argument for them yet.

Could someone give me a word for word account of this "sectarian chanting"?

It was probably the Scott Allen song. "he used to be a hun, but he's alright now" :smiley-laughing002:

It's a * joke, all it does is trivialize real sectarianism, like a manager of a factory throwing job applications and CV's in the bin because the people had Catholic/Irish names. That is real sectarianism.

That is why I purposely said "some people" and conceded that the best reason I have seen against their use is the affect they could have on other supporters and their health.

Your cousins no on here * about them though is he/she ?

Most of the folk that were wetting their pants about it yesterday were hardly going to affected by it unless the SMV start using flares that can get you through your computer screen.

Although if the Daily Record printed a story claiming the Green Brigade had started using flares that could get ya through your screen I have no doubt a good few on here would fall for it :smiley-laughing002:

Wait, if you don't have a problem with flares/smoke bombs who exactly is it you think is damaging the club?

How's "Hun" sectarian anyways? :smiley-laughing002: It's just referring to THEM and their fans.

    Load of nonsense as usual.

You could well be right there. It never even occurred to me that would be the song they were complaining about. I just assumed it would have been the Irish Republican songs.

It looks great. Think we should do this at the next home game.

    Well that's one argument. :smiley-laughing002:

It never looks anything like that when our support do it though. :smiley-laughing002:

I'm sure the Irish republican songs are seen as political by the SFA, and not sectarian, in saying that the Scott Allen song is sung every time the boy warms up/comes on at away games, so * knows what they're on about. :smiley-laughing002:
