RE my own post, Not too much hassle if they had the flares obviously, but a bit pointless for this game. I like them when used properly in displays and stuff but for this game i think its a bunch of numpties taking it all a bit over the top.

No I'm just a guy who regularly watched the games in The Brazen Head and watched one of his many games at Celtic Park in the family section and said to himself "never again" due to it's austerity. Or am I one of the fans that actually looks out for his club and doesn't run around like a * eegit saying to himself "How else can I ruin the name of Celtic Football Club?" You lot even continue to twist the knife even after claiming that I would love to see Celtic Park in full party atmosphere in my last post, which leads me to believe that you are exactly the type of fan that I described in my original thread. I only want the best for my club...what do you want?

i was in the next section over. they weren't handled in any hazordous or embarraasing way. weren't thrown on the field or used to burn anyone. just held up while we sang hail hail. the police came up and starting putting people in headlocks and sending people flying down the rows. it was excessive but it's also what you can expect in america. there's a no flares policy in this stadium that was broken but it wasn't a bother. nobody was hurt and it looked great. fair play to the bronx bhoys, they were well up for it the entire time

You have to remember the game was in America guys were probably just excited to see the bhoys live and wanted to create best atmosphere possible.

The original poster is an absolute "bawbag" of all proportions. I hate this whiter than white reputation that we have acquired over the years. If pyro adds to the ever dieing atmosphere at Celtic games then i'm all for it!

Because fans having a bad reputation hurts the club.

I can't see it damaging the image of the club at all as i didn't even hear anything about it until i read this thread. In my opinion, if used safely and not breaking any laws flares look brilliant! ..

Which is often the problem with flares. Usually it's some * up guy lighting it in a crowd of people. and against the stadium rules.

I do agree they look good though.

Ditto. But, as long as they are banned in a ground, we should probably respect that. Especially abroad where we have a sterling reputation.

PLEASE FFS . TAKE YOUR SEAT IN THE MAIN / FAMILY STAND . THE KIDS AND ADULTS WANT ULTRA AT HOME AND AWAY FIXTURES AFTER THE LACKLUSTER DISPLAY FROM OUR SUPPORTERS OVER RECENT YEARS . REMEMBER IF YOUR NOT TOPLESS YOUR NOT CELTIC.

EMBRACE THE NEW CELTIC SUPPORTER MENTALITY. YOU WOULD THINK BY YOUR POST WE WERE THROWING THEM AROUND THE STADIUM LIKE EGGS.

    GET OF YOUR HIGH HORSE.

TO SUPPORT YOUR TEAM VOCALLY/VISUALLY FOR 90 MINS SHOULD BE A WAY OF LIFE NOT A CHORE
